It's late February here in Wisconsin, and this past week temperatures peaked at high 60's. Now to some people this weather might seem freezing cold, but for us living in Wisconsin, this weather is a gift sent from God himself. Monday and Tuesday were gorgeous, but then, out of no where, by Friday we had snow. We literally experienced all four seasons within 5 days! Regardless of the fact political figures and other American's refuse the believe climate change is real, (HINT HINT, THIS ISN'T NORMAL FEBRUARY WEATHER) here in Wisconsin we took full advantage of the heat wave and the snow fall by doing some of our favorite things:
Skiing

It's technically still winter, so there is no need to stop the winter activities we love. In warm weather like this, snow pants and jackets should be left in the car and hot chocolate is not needed to keep warm. The fresh coat of snow definitely benefitted ski hills and their regular customers by extending the season a few week, but no promises. At this rate, it might be 80 by next week.
Sunbathing

You bet we all put out some lawn chairs, cracked a cold one, threw on some shorts, and rolled up the t-shirt sleeves to start working on our summer tan! Nothing better than the rays of the February sun hitting your pasty skin for the first time after a harsh winter. Unfortunately, it's back in the 30's now so the tanning will have to wait a bit.
Enjoying the sunset
Warm or cold, we can always count on our sunsets to come through and make us smile. I mean look at this.

And this one. Amazing right!?

Can't get much better than that!
Grilling out
When we get the chance to grill out, we take it. Nothing like the smell of spring, melting snow and burning charcoal. With this recent snowfall and cold temperatures we might need to call it good for a while, but that's okay. The first burgers of summer will taste just that much better because we had to wait.

Ice fishing

The ice isn't completely gone yet, so obviously everyone is getting their last bit of ice time in before the sun melts it all away.
Drinking

We drink when it's 100 degrees and we drink when it's -10, but drinking during the first sight of spring is arguably the best time to drink with a Wisconsinite. Darty (Day time party) season came early this year, but then it was all ruined when it snowed on Friday.
We all are insanely optimistic that this snow will soon be washed away by rain, but let's face it, it will probably snow in April (the usual) so the binge drinking now is just a way of everyone numbing themselves for the rest of the crazy weather about to come our way.
