We all know movies are one of the greatest things mankind has ever created. From drive-thru cinemas to movie theaters with lounge chairs and dinner brought to you, movies have brought family and friends together and have brought fandoms to life. This is a list of fice movies of all different genres between the late 80s and early 90s. To make things more organized they are in chronological order.

1. The Goonies (1985)

An American adventure-comedy film based in Astoria, Oregon, "The Goonies" is filled with adventures when a band of preteens attempt to save their homes from demolition by discovering an old map that will lead them to buried treasure. This has become one of my favorites because of the dialogue between the characters and how a common cause brings jocks, intellectuals and even hooligans together.

2. Heathers (1988)

An American cult black comedy film portraying a clique of four girls -- three of whom are named Heather -- in a fictional Ohio high school and a bad-boy by the name of J.D. "Heathers" is filled with suspense, and thriller brought to you in the forms of betrayal, revenge, secrets, murder plots and a love gone wrong. This movie is on my list because who doesn't love a good thriller?

3. Forrest Gump (1994)

Let me start off by saying that the first time I saw this movie, I bawled and sobbed. A. Lot. An American dark comedy based on the novel of the same name, "Forrest Gump," is filled sadness, happiness, love and overcoming many things. "Run, Forrest, Run!" Tom Hanks does a wonderful job in this movie which is one of the reasons why this movie is also on the list. This is a classic in my eyes because it was written beautifully, amazingly directed and come on, how could you not love him?

4. Girl, Interrupted (1999)

Starring Wionna Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Brittany Murphy, Jared Leto, Whoopi Goldberg and so many more, "Girl, Interrupted" is American drama telling the story of a girl who is sent to a pyschiartic hosiptal after attempting suicide. Upon arriving she meets other girls with mental illness ranging from schizophrenia, pathological lying, an eating disorder and sociopathy. From the moment the movie starts, it makes you feel. Sad, angry, hate, happiness, pity and anguish. There will not be a moment during watching this film where you aren't feeling something.

5. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

An American romantic comedy film starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Larisa Oleynik. "10 Things I Hate About You" is filled with incredible and memorable scenes and lines such as, "But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you...Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all." It is in the same category as "She's All That," where a boy is paid to take out a female outcast, but slowly falls in love as they go along. You will literally laugh out loud, and you will cry. This is a movie everyone should watch at some point in their life. #RIPHeathLedger

There are so many more films that are on my "Classic Films" list but I'll save that for next time!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
