It's a Friday night!
Yay! Time for the weekend! To me, I think the weekend is like the mini vacation of the week, starting Friday night. What are you going to be up to? I love listening to music to unwind and de-stress from a whole week's work. But what to listen is the ultimate question. Below I have compiled and categorized a music by genre/occasion playlist for those Friday-don't-know-what-to-jam-out nights.
I tend to like to listen to music and either knit or crochet something in the meanwhile. However sometimes when there are too many words with a distracting beat it becomes hard to concentrate on the pattern I'm working on.
Friday Night Crafting Songs
"Fake ID" - Big & Rich
"Cheap Thrills" - Sia, Sean Paul
"I Mean It" - G-Eazy, Remo
"Hurricane" - Halsey
Sometimes I like to do light homework on Friday nights such as brainstorming for my upcoming paper. Yes, quite a shocker. Brainstorming sessions always require extremely calm and sentimental beats which allow all thoughts to flow onto my Word document or onto my notebook if I was writing ideas down the old fashioned way. Free association for the win!
Calm and Sentimental Brainstorming Music
"At Last" - Etta James
"To Whom It May Concern" - The Civil Wars
"Dust to Dust" - The Civil Wars
"Gymnopedie, No. 1" - Erik Satie
"Prelude in C sharp minor" - Frederic Chopin
I love to listen to anything from George Strait to Wiz Khalifa. Like I often say, I enjoy all types of music from slow smooth jazz to country to straight up rap. Yes, I like country music. In fact, I love it. There, I said it. It's so hard to choose a single favorite song. Some of my current country songs on the top of my list include:
"American Country Love Song" - Jake Owen
"Came Here to Forget" - Blake Shelton
"Die a Happy Man" - Thomas Rhett
"You and The Beach" - Luke Bryan
"Write This Down" - George Strait
And for straight up chilling...
