If you are a "Star Wars" fanatic like me, you counted down the days until the premiere of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens."

This was the peak of your existence, the reason you were born. "Star Wars" is your hobby and your ultimate entertainment. You know everything about it.

**WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD**

Watching "Episode VII," we witnessed new heroes rise to the calling of the force beckoning them to join The Resistance. We also watched new villains rise to power with the Dark Side. We became giddy little girls when we watched our childhood heroes enter the scene and bring back old habits we've come to love. We all sat in the theater united as one as we mourned the loss of our beloved rebel, Han Solo.

These moments and so many more were surprises we never expected the new director, JJ Abrams, to bring into play. I think I can speak on the behalf of millions of Star Wars fans to say we are pleased with Abrams work and we're looking forward to what he has in store for us next.

So, what's next? Rey found Luke Skywalker and left us on the edge of our seats waiting for Luke to take his old light saber and train Rey, but then the credits started rolling. What will happen to Rey? Will she become a Jedi? Will Luke help her defeat The First Order? Is Rey a part of Luke's family somehow?

Let's take a look at what to expect for Star Wars Episode VIII.

First of all, JJ Abrams has announced he is taking the role of executive producer and handing the reigns of director over to Rian Johnson. Johnson has directed movies such as Brick, The Brothers Bloom and Looper. With those movies having success, Johnson is sure to promise some good sci-fi action with Star Wars Episode VIII coming to theaters May 26, 2017.

Cinema Blend has confirmed that Rian Johson has written the script for the next episode but has not yet released details of the story.

Here are some things Star Wars fans could guess might take place (keep in mind there is no way to confirm these predictions):

#1: Rey

Star Wars fans and experts can confirm that if you make a character the center of the whole trilogy, they most likely will give in to doing the right thing. We can definitely look forward to Rey joining The Light Side although I'm sure at one point Kylo Ren and the rest of The First Order will tempt her into joining the Dark Side. There also has been talk of Rey having Jedi blood in her family. Could her father be Luke? If Episode VIII reveals this to be true, it raises some questions we're hoping the next movie will address; why did Luke leave her on Jakku? Who is the mother? Why has Luke been staying away from her this whole time? And will there be another epic battle between her and Kylo Ren?

#2: Finn

If you recall, Finn was a storm trooper who betrayed The First Order after attacking Jakku. He and Rey team up and leave Jakku on the Millennium Falcon. However, Finn isn't his real name. That name comes from his storm trooper number, FN-2187. So why does he betray The First Order and where did he come from? Hopefully Episode VIII will reveal much needed information on Finn that can answer these questions.

#3: Poe Dameron

We know Poe is an awesome X-Wing fighter, he is a part of The Resistance, BB-8 was originally his, but what else? We really don't know a lot on this pilot but it seems like his character will be involved more in Episode VIII. However, Abrams did show Dameron having some beef against Kylo Ren so finding out what grudge Poe has against him and how they will fight it out is something else to look forward to in Episode VIII.

#4: Luke Skywalker

Alright, so if you're like me, I was sitting in the theater as soon as we saw Mark Hamill make an appearance as Luke Skywalker once more, waiting for him to say something, or to take the lightsaber from Rey, or to make a face or to just to do ANYTHING. Instead all we got was an intense stare down battle between Luke and Rey leaving us with so many questions. Although he was on screen for a good 60 seconds, we discovered that he attempted training Ben Solo until Ben turned to the dark side and killed lots of people and changed his name to Kylo Ren as we know him now. As a result, Luke had turned to exile on an unknown planet that made it clear he did not want to be found. Finding Luke became The First Order and The Resistance's ultimate goal. Hopefully, Episode VIII will reveal more to Luke's story and what happened in the last 30 years since the end of The Return of the Jedi.

#5: Kylo Ren

Like I mentioned before, Kylo Ren is actually Ben Solo, Han Solo and Princess Leia's son. He turned to the dark side under the influence of Supreme Leader Snoke and now is seeking to not only destroy Luke Skywalker but also to finish what Darth Vader started. There is a scene where he talks to Darth Vader's mask which is now melted and de-formed. How did Kylo receive such an important relic? What did Darth Vader never finish? Also, how could he kill his father, Han Solo, with what seemed to contain no emotion whatsoever? Episode VIII has lots of pressure to reveal more about Kylo Ren and his plans for Luke, Rey and the remaining Resistance.

#6 Supreme Leader Snoke

JJ Abrams has answered the question we were all thinking: is this the next Sith Lord? Abrams says that Supreme Leader Snoke is in fact NOT a Sith Lord. In an interview with JJ Abrams before Episode VII was even released, Abrams confirmed that Snoke and Kylo are not a part of the Sith. He evens goes to point out that in the original trilogy, George Lucas never revealed in these films that Darth Vader and the Emperor were Sith Lords, although he might have intended them to be. The actor who played Snoke, Andy Serkis, even goes to say that Snoke is a new character the previous films have never encountered. Although Snoke might be hiding many things, being a Sith Lord is not one of them. Episode VIII holds lots of promise as to who this strange being is and what his plans are.

#7: Maz Kanata

This might be one of the most confusing characters yet. This little alien person seems to know so much about the force and its ways yet claims to not be a Jedi. Also, she has Luke's lightsaber! Last time we saw this lightsaber, it was lost in Cloud City. So, how did Maz Kanata obtain it? Also, we've never seen her before so how does she know so much? Or have we seen her? There is a very popular fan theory that Maz Kanata is actually a retired Jawa! This would make sense because she knows so much because whether we noticed them or not, Jawas were almost always on the scene of many episodes of the previous trilogies. Whether this theory is true or not, hopefully Episode VIII will confirm or correct her story of how she knows so much and where she comes from.

#8: Droids

C-3PO and R2-D2 make an appearance in Episode VII but are joined by the new droid character, BB-8. Episode VII left us with two questions in particular. The first being, how did BB-8 end up with a part of the map to Luke Skywalker and the second being why did the presence of BB-8 awaken R2-D2? Besides BB-8 being introduced to the film, we don't get a lot from these three droids in this film. Where have C-3PO and R2-D2 been all this time? Why did R2-D2 shut down when Luke Skywalker disappeared? Episode VIII will hopefully answer these questions and give these beloved droids a little more screen time.

Overall, we are hoping Episode VIII will answer all of these questions and many more that we might have. Either way, I think we can all agree we are very anxious to see what Rian Johnson and JJ Abrams have in store for us.

May the Force be with you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
