1. I learned how to love myself

I've always been my biggest critic, but this year has taught me to be my own biggest fan. Through thick and thin, I've learned how to love myself understanding that I'm not perfect, my grades don't define me, peoples words don't define me but that I'm completely found in the King. Learning how to love myself this year has changed my life. I no longer seek the approval of others or try to find my identity in boys, school or people.

2. Having a support system is so important

It took me awhile, but I've made some of my best friends in college. Having a support system in college has changed my life, and these people have changed my life! On days when life is hard, I get a bad test grade or just having a crummy day, I know that I have people that are going to be there for me to pull me up when I'm down. Not only has it been incredible finding people that support you, but making sure I'm surrounded by people that hold me accountable. Accountable to my values, my beliefs and morals. This has meant everything to me. People that push me to the cross and change my heart for the better. I'm so happy I have found real friends I can do life with forever.

3. Don't take no for an answer

People will constantly try and knock you down, hurt you, say mean things about you and sometimes it's for no reason. It sucks, but that's life. It's so important to stand up for what you believe in, and not take "no" for an answer. If things don't work out a certain way, find another way around it, find a new solution. Learning to not take "no" for an answer is so important.

4. Get Involved to find yourself

Something I've really done in college is become involved on campus, off campus, wherever. Not only to boost my resume but to find myself. Becoming involved in different organizations has given me the opportunity to meet a variety of people that have had such an impact on my life. Getting involved helps you find yourself, helps you find what you like/don't life, helps you find people you want to be around and is just all around a great experience.

5. Love others even if it's not being returned

Yo, this is hard. It's hard loving someone who isn't wanting to be loved, loving someone who isn't kind. But it is so much more rewarding to take the high road and love others regardless of how they feel about you.

6. I found out who I was

I found out who I was this year, discovered things about myself that I never new before and each day I'm closer to the person I want to become.

7. Things won't always go my way, and that's o k a y

I'm really competitive, so losing isn't really in my vocab...but this semester I've learned that things aren't always going to go my way, things aren't in my control but they my life is in God's hands and He is in control. It's okay when things don't go as planned because ultimately God is the only one who knows my future. It's okay to be competitive, just don't be a sore loser.

8. Do what makes you HAPPY

No matter what: DO YOU! Whatever makes you happy, go for it. Find what you love and be happy doing it. Life is about doing what you love and loving yourself while doing it.

9. Take on Adventures

Saying "yes" to cool opportunities taking on adventures because you "only college once" has been so much fun. College is one of the best times of your life so why not live it up?

10. I'm Blessed

I'M SO BLESSED. Blessed for the opportunity to go to college, blessed by my friends, blessed by my family and everything in my life. It's so important to be thankful!!! Because we are blessed with incredible people & blessed with LIFE!!!

Thanks to everyone who made this year incredible.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
