What "The Office" Cast Was Like In College

Before they were Dunder Miffleners, they were college students. Lost, confused college students who probably had bigger dreams than selling paper and being trapped in Scranton, PA forever. It's hard to picture them before they grew into the 'World's Best Boss," "Assistant to the Regional Manager," or worked in sales, accounting, human resources or as a receptionist or a temp.

Let's travel back in time. Here’s what the cast of “The Office” was like during college:

Michael Scott: Rejected From Every Fraternity on Campus

Ahh, Michael Scott. Michael wasn’t the most popular guy in college. He often ate alone in the dining hall, hit on girls way out of his league, and made a fool of himself when he was drunk, or actually, when he was completely sober as well. Professors often pretended not to see Michael’s hand when he raised it in class. And, well, most people ignored Michael on campus. But on the bright side, he was oblivious to it all.

Jim Halpert: Campus Cutie

Jim was the type of guy that would escort drunk girls back to their dorm and make sure they got to bed safe. He would make his profile picture a photo of him and his mom and rack in the likes. Everyone knew Jim. Girls wanted to date him and guys respected and slightly envied him.

Pam Beesly: The Quiet Girl

Pam was the type of girl you’d spot underneath a tree reading a novel and sipping some herbal tea. She wasn’t much of a party girl, but still caught the attention of many male suitors. She was quiet, yet mysterious and pretty.

Dwight K. Schrute: President of the Man Hunt Club; Most Hated RA on Campus

Dwight was not popular in college, yet EVERYONE knew him. He was always on the patrol for busting underaged students from drinking and, more importantly, having fun. He was the ultimate party crasher. He looked up to campus police more than his professors and often interrupted class to tell his professors they didn’t know how to teach.

Angela Martin: Almost Got Kicked Off Campus for Keeping Cats in her Dorm

Angela was a very diligent student, but hardly had any friends. She spent most of her free time playing with her cats in her dorm, despite the fact they were not allowed on campus. She attended church every week, went to bed precisely at 11:00pm every night, and lead the bible study group on campus.

Kelly Kapoor: President of Kappa Delta

Kelly ruled campus. She was a party animal and would often cry to her girls about a guy screwing her over. She worked hard, always had fierce outfits, and knew the latest celeb news. She was very people-oriented and didn’t really have any haters.

Meredith Palmer: Slept With 3 Professors

Yikes! Meredith was one of those girls who looked innocent, but was really doing some kinky sex things behind the scenes. She didn’t care much about her grades, but somehow got by (wink wink). She often went to class drunk and often wore lace crop tops and booty shorts to class in the middle of winter, because who gives a crap? She never let men take advantage of her; she took advantage of them.

Andy Bernard: The Kiss Ass

Andy was very proud to be a (*drumroll,* please)..... CORNELL student. He was very animated on campus and hard working. He’s the type of student who will ask his professors how their weekend was and if they want to grab a coffee with him. He’s generally well-liked, but can be slightly annoying at times. He is very competitive, career-oriented and passionate about his school.

Creed Bratton: Got Kicked Out of College; Lived in the Woods for 3+ Years

Creed tried the whole college thing, but got kicked out of school for trying to peep in on girls changing in the locker room. Some say he disappeared in the woods for the remainder of his college career. He never graduated college and we’re not quite sure how he was qualified enough to be hired at Dunder Mifflin.

Phyllis Lapin: Spent Weekends Doing DIY Crafts

Phyllis was pretty quiet. She enjoyed baking, reading Good Housekeeping, and knitting. She was a sweet girl, but didn’t get out much. Sometimes she wished she was cool enough to be a sorority.

Stanley Hudson: Can be Found Sitting in the Dining Hall Alone Doing a Crossword Puzzle

Stanley kept to himself during college. He didn’t bother anyone and no one bothered him. He was a crossword puzzle fanatic. He worked hard during college and was a pretty under-the-radar guy.

Toby Flenderson: Constantly Friend-Zoned by Girls

Every girl would always tell Toby how sweet he was. He would listen to them vent about their boy problems, he would offer a shoulder to cry on, in fact, he was every girl’s dream BFF. Yet despite his kind heart, no girl ever saw him as more than a friend. He often called home to ask his mom why he wasn’t ever good enough.

Oscar Martinez: Mr. Nice Guy

Girls would flirt with Oscar, but he never reciprocated. He was very secretive about his love life, but was all around a fun guy. He enjoyed being a member of Spanish Club and watching novelas with his friends.

Ryan Howard: Always Went to Class High

Ryan was a pretty chill guy. He often woke up at 4pm on the weekends and turned up a little too much during the weekdays, but he worked hard in class. He often gave off the vibe that he didn’t care about anything, but we all know he did.

Kevin Malone: Class Clown

Kevin was always the jokester. He was seriously funny. He always had sarcastic remarks to add to teacher's lectures and he didn't think too much about what he was going to say. The stress of college, however, contributed to his hair loss.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
