Winter break from school is one of life’s greatest blessings to any student. To have an extended amount of time that doesn’t disappear in two seconds is an amazing feeling, and it helps everyone feel refreshed before going back into lecturing and homework.

As for my winter break, I’ve been spending it so far catching up on everything I’ve neglected in my personal hobbies. I finally have the chance to sit down and play through the long list of video games in my backlog, and it is an amazing feeling. From going for the platinum trophy in Watch Dogs 2, to finally starting Heavy Rain with my friends, I love the productive feeling I get from spending time on myself during break. I personally have a lot more video games I want to playthrough before break is over, but I don’t spend all my time playing games. I’ve also spent time catching up on my favorite shows, and Netflix is always there for me when I don’t know what I want to do next. And once I’ve had enough of sitting for one day, I’ve even motivated myself enough to get a quick workout in!

Although I love all of the personal time alone, I’ve also spent a lot of time catching up with my friends and family, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with them. It feels so good to just sit and talk with them, and it makes me even more thankful for break. Sharing my ridiculous life stories about what has happened since I last saw them has brought out some of the greatest laughs ever. It feels good to hangout with friends, or Christmas shop with my family.

Break has been great so far, and it isn’t close to being over yet. If you need me, I’ll probably one of the things I wrote about above. Winter break is your chance to get refreshed and enjoy yourself, so take advantage of it! Live the vacation days how you want to, and do only what your heart desires. After all, they wouldn't call it a break if it wasn't suppose to recharge you. So happy holidays, and make you enjoy yourself over the next several days!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
