What Your Most Used Emoji Says About You

In our day-to-day lives, there are opportunities to express ourselves in various creative ways. One of the most common is communication with others, more specifically texting and more importantly, emojis. Yep, some of us hate them and most of us love them, but either way the emojis you use the most can say a lot about you. Here are some of the most common emojis and what they say about you if they’re your go-to:

“Fire” emoji

Calling something “cool” is over. From the burger you just got to the mix tape you just dropped, you call everything “fire.” Props for your enthusiasm, it does not go unnoticed.

“Smiling face with smiling eyes” emoji

You’re, as MTKO would put it, “just so classic.” You’re polite and friendly, and you don’t want to offend anyone so you stick with a smile. It might be the safe choice, but you really can’t go wrong.

“Smirking face” emoji:

You’re that friend in the group who’s always smirking at what everyone else says and it carries over into your texting, too. You’re clever and love sarcasm, which you’re not afraid to use.

“Smiling face with horns” emoji:

Every time you do something even close to rebellious, you break out the devil emoji without hesitation. Whether it’s going out on a Wednesday, or wearing that crop top during the daylight hours, you just like to remind everyone that you can be bad, too.

“Face throwing a kiss” emoji:

There’s not much more straightforward than a winking, kissing, heart emoji. You do what you want and say what you feel and you’re not afraid to get yourself into that weird texting/flirting mess. It’s a blessing and curse.

“Red heart” emoji:

You’re always feeling the love and you’re happy to share it. Romantic or not, you want people to know you love them, and who doesn’t love a person like that in return?

“Loudly crying face” emoji:

You might be sad a lot, but chances are you’re just a bit dramatic. You use this emoji when Starbucks just ran out of your favorite roast, for example. Because why wouldn’t you? It’s a tragedy.

“Face savoring delicious food” emoji:

You eat a lot of good food and this is how you show your appreciation for it. Or your idea of sass is to stick your tongue out in that adorable way. Probably both.

“Person raising both hands in celebration” emoji:

You’re one of those people who say, “preach,” every time someone makes a good point. Thank God you have this emoji to say it for you via text.

“Face with tears of joy” emoji:

Whether it’s a dog video or a just a classic pun, you find everything funny. So funny, apparently, that you’re also crying. Good for you, keep on laughing.

"Gator" emoji:

You like to remind everyone that you go to the best school on the planet, and really who doesn’t? You often accompany this emoji with a Snapchat of the Swamp or a classic, “Go Gators.”

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
