Anyone who has ever watched Grey's Anatomy knows where I'm going with this, the famous phrase repeated over and over again between Meredith Grey and Christina Yang. They say, "you are my person" to one another. The bond they develop over the course of that series is unbreakable and words do not even begin to describe the friendship they share. To be someone's 'person' is typically meant you are one part of a relationship that can only be shared between two people who both accept being called dark and twisty. Being someone else's 'person' comes with a lot of weight.
You are my person every day. At the end of the day you are the one I want to be around and you are the one I want to call no matter what happens. When something good happens I want to call you. However, it's not just good times when you are someone's 'person'. When I'm in trouble I want to call you, too. This is a responsibility you hold when you are my 'person'.
You are that one 'person' by my side through thick and thin. You will always be there for me and because of that, I will always try my very best to reciprocate that action.
You're the person that I worry about. I worry about you when you have a bad day and I expect the same from you when I am having a hard time, too. I worry about you and you're ability to stay safe in the world that is so 'dark and twisty', as Meredith would probably call it. Whenever you start to show the 'dark and twisty' side of you, it is my job to bring you back to reality.
You're my person forever. Once you get this involved, there is no running. Being someone else's 'person' is a lifetime commitment. You will be right by my side as we learn to navigate the crazy world we call life together.
You're my person, and if you're my person, you will always be my person. In the end we have to dance it out together, because there is no one else I would rather have by my side.
