Family is a extremely important thing to me, and growing up the youngest of four children, - two brothers and a sister - has been a blessing and a curse at the same time. I've dealt with great things and I've also been through hell at the same time, but from each and every situation, or problem I've dealt with, I've gained knowledge and experience from my siblings that have dealt either with the same situation, or one close to it. They've taught me life lessons that I'll keep forever, and some that I wish I could forget. But, regardless of the situations, what I've really learned from it is...
I'll always have protectors.
Regardless of the situation, I'm their younger sibling, and they'll always be on the lookout for me, and if I'm messed with by the wrong type of people, and ganged up upon, they'll be at my side faster than most of my friends.
I'll have a plethora of advice on any subject or situation.
Regardless of the situation, there's a chance that my siblings have gone through it, and that they'll give me straight up advice that I can actually apply to my situation, and try to either find a different outcome, or have the situation play out differently than theirs did. My sister is always the best at this since she's the one out of my family that I'll go to the most with my problems, and she'll take time out of her day just to listen to what I have to say.
I'll meet tons of people.
This is always the best part about being the youngest, especially with my family, we're all extroverts so we aren't afraid to engage in a conversation with people, so when my brothers and sister bring their friends over, I'm introduced, and back when I was younger, they invited me to hang out with them in our basement while they did whatever they had planned for the evening. Now that I'm 21 however, I get random texts when I'm home to come out to a bar with them and enjoy a night on the town.
With all these people I'm meeting, I always keep in mind that each person is a possible networking opportunity as well, so I hit two birds with one stone just through my siblings.
Goofy pictures are a must.
I mean, what's a family without a few goofy pictures to look back at and make fun of each other right? Especially when you and your brother make perfect life-like versions of the Mario Brothers for a halloween party.
So to my siblings, and my parents, thank you so much for everything you for me, from sporting events to helping me pass my classes, I wouldn't be where I am today without all of you.
