Forget the mundane tasks of checking your social media account to
see what "Jimmy" ate for breakfast, who broke up with whom, etc., and
just go and do your work. It'll save the grief of stressing over a
project that's due for critic the next day and the stigma of stressing
over other people's problems. So, get the job done and do it early.
This is a skill that I've learned through the years of juggling multiple
projects in-between four intensive art classes.
Time management:
Don't waste time thinking about what you're gonna do for the new project assignment. Just do it! Your creativity will flow at the scratch of a pen or pencil, and you'll be amazed. It's just a matter of what idea is good or bad that keeps us stumped. Wasting time on what you're gonna do we surely, stall time, and before you know it. The project is due.
Perseverance:
Don't run away from things that seem difficult. No one accomplishes their dreams the easy way. You know, unless they're already rich.
Teamwork:
Teamwork makes the dream work, and it can teach you a new thing or two.
This was a mind sore for me back in high school, but it's only bad if there's no chemistry between your partner(s), and your project will show the outcome. At first, I dreaded over creating a class project this semester on a comic book with a partner, but it turned out to be awesome, and I learned new skills along the way through building a relationship with my project partner. Team work isn't all that bad, and can be the most rewarding.
Problem-Solving:
There is more than one way to solve a problem, and finding the best solution is the most rewarding, and hardest to find.
Networking:
Let's face it, if you're the one who's known to have less than impressive work, you're less likely to build a strong connection amongst your peers in your main concentration of work. Most people don't care to know your name, unless they enjoy your work and you're a great person to have around. Look it up, it's the Law Of Attraction, so make the best of your work.
