You don’t mean to do it. It’s never intentional. It’s just how you are. You know how I feel but you don’t feel the same about him. You don’t want to hurt me but it seems like you always do. It’s hard to care about someone. While you watch your friend unknowingly throw herself at him. A friendship where you’ve fallen in love is hard.
The thought of losing the friend over your feelings can be difficult. What hurts the most is seeing a friend all over them. She knows you care for him. She just doesn’t know it hurts when she hugs him, rest her arm on him or anything else. Guess what though, it hurts.
Your friend and he will see each other and hug. When you hug him, he goes stiff and claims he doesn’t like to be touched. Why though? Why is it weird for you to hug him and not her? It’s always like this, you see him hug other girls and he never hugs you and it hurts. It’s not just even him, it’s her.
The girl who is your best friend... You kept your secrets to yourself because you thought she cared for him. One night, you tell your friend about your feelings. Then you apologize and tell her she is good for him. She’s perfect and that’s what he deserves. She reassures you that she doesn’t like him causing you more pain.
She flashes a smile and throws her hair the right way making him melt. He always talks about how wonderful and beautiful she is. But you know she leads him on with unintentional empty gestures. These gestures cause you and him pain. He feels pain because he was lead on. The pain you feel is wishing to be in her position. You also don’t understand why he doesn’t like you. You are the one that checks on him, cares for him when he is sick, and checks to see he achieves his goals. You either make a move or move on.
