School. The one word that has struck fear into the hearts of kids everywhere throughout history. For college students though, it's a fairly mixed reaction. While even though I've heard some people complain about Wesleyan, I'm very excited to be back.
Below I've listed the following reasons why I'm excited to be back, and what the first week has felt like to me.
1.Packing up to head back to college/ Move in day is like
:Packing up is always exciting to me because that means that I'll be seeing my friends that I haven't seen all summer! And plus, learning new material is something to look forward to as well.
2. What the first day of classes feels like:
Let's face it, after all those "ice-breaker" games and introductions, this is the default feeling at the end of the day.
3. When your friends are over after quiet hours and you get a tad loud, RA's be like:
People should really cut their neighbors some slack during the first week. We're just catching up with our friends and trying to do homework.
4. When your teacher gives a quiz during the first few days
Why do teachers think it's okay to give a test during the first week? We're all still recovering from being lazy (or working) during the summer. Why are tests necessary for a syllabus anyway?
5. When you're hoping Aladdin will be better this year, but food is still like:
Food is not supposed to go through you like Aladdin food does. We should not have to eat this stuff.
6. Attempting to do assignments on the first day like:
Because doing assignments on the first day makes everyone feel like this (after a relaxing summer especially!)
7. When you decide to be a better student this semester:
No matter how hard you try to be a good noodle, after the first couple days, we all fall back into this old, yet welcome, habit.
8. Remembering that you’ll never sleep again
9. Then there's this:
Which basically sums up what it's like to be a college student.
Despite all this, however, college is a place where we learn how to grow as individuals and expand our brains. Because of all this, I'm very excited to start another year at Wesleyan and I'm glad I'm off to a great start.
