What It Feels Like To Fall In Love

Falling in love is like a delicious cup of pudding.

What It Feels Like To Fall In Love

One day you wake up and you find yourself smiling more than you normally do. You are already a happy person, but something about you seems so calm and blissful. You say things like, “Everyone should just hug and love,” and you no longer blush when you hear his name instead you feel butterflies and a sudden burst of happiness.

This is the beginning stage of falling in love.

It will happen out of nowhere.

Love is a strange emotion because this person who you love becomes the other part of you. They are who you want to tell everything to, they are the first person you call after a long day, you are capable of being yourself around them and they make you feel as though you are on cloud nine. As you fall even deeper now it feels as though you are swimming in a pool of chocolate pudding. Being content and drowning in a pile of sweet goodness. You never want this feeling to go away. Just like a cup of pudding you treasure and embrace your time with that person, never wanting the good taste to go away.

When you finally reach the stage of being in love. You know it. It is not a questionable feeling, you will never be unsure you know it in your heart that you love and adore your significant other. Nothing is tastier than feeling appreciated, to feel the respect that you know you deserve.

Falling in love has been the best thing to have ever happened to me. I like to think that it has made me at peace with myself; I think anyone who knows this emotion can agree it puts us girls at ease. You do things you never thought you would do, like painting masterpieces, running 5K's and walking the moon (just kidding). What it does do is make you feel as though you can do all of those things, you feel unstoppable. Your confidence level skyrockets, your skin glows and your eyes sparkle. Your friends see it and get all excited; you probably all squeal in excitement as you talk about the loves of your lives.

You cannot force love; it just happens on its own, it’s a bratty little emotion because one day you look at your person and think, “Woo, I am in love.” Falling in love is different for everyone. You can fall in love with the words a person says to you, the actions they make for you. Heck, you can even fall in love at first sight. There is no set way on how to fall in love, your heart just decides on it’s own. It is as if your mind and heart knows exactly what you need and when you finally find that person your body is screaming and sending signs going, “They are it! They are the one!” Then magically, it all falls into place and it is a wonderful place to be. Everyone deserves to feel this way. Falling in love is a beautiful thing that happens among humans.

To the person who I love dearly, thank you for all that you do and continue to do for me, the endless love and support means the world. Thank you for being my favorite cup of pudding. I love you.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
