I have trouble believe that anyone is ever there for me. Growing up, and even now, I have truly only had one best friend. I questioned if I am truly loved and wanted in this world. Bad things will happen to me and I am so confused as to why. But then I remember it could be a lot worse.

Isaiah 43:2 states I will be with you when you pass through the waters and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you.

Often times when I'm going through a rough time, I use water metaphors which is why I love this verse so much more. God will put you through hard times and no it won't be easy but when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will go through things but you will pass them. They will not overwhelm you. You will make it alive to the other side. There is a lesson for everything in our life. God doesn't just put us in a situation because He doesn't know what do with us. He puts us there because we need to be the but He makes sure that we will be able to make it to the other side.

Isaiah 43:3 states For I Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior, give Egypt as a ransom for you.

He saved us. He saved me. Sometimes I tell myself that if God really truly loved me, He wouldn't put me through what He does. I wouldn't have the struggles that I do. He is willing to give us all to just come home to Him one day. He has done so much for us and me as an individual that I can't even fathom what my life would be like without it all. My life is so much better with Him guiding me in the right direction.

Isaiah 43:4 says Because you are precious in My sight and honored, and I love you.

He loves us. He loves me. Like I stated earlier, I struggle not knowing if anyone loves me. It's tough to think that God doesn't love me. But guess what, He loves us so much that we can't even wrap our human brain around it. I and many other people struggle with thinking that we aren't good enough. In God's eyes, we are precious. He made us individually and put so much effort into us. I don't know about you, but that means the absolute world to me. It makes me feel so much better to know that He made us and He loves us with all of His heart.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
