The first episode of the seventh season of "American Horror Story" premiered on September 5th and I have a lot to say about it. I truly believe this is the season that is gonna break back "American Horror Story" and make it really good again. Now I loved the first three seasons of the show but after that, I feel like it just wasn’t the same. From what I watched last night it feels like this season it gonna be a lot like the first three. I’m not saying the last few seasons have been bad they just haven’t been what the creepiness of the first season was like. I, like a lot of people, are ready for the level of creepy this season is going to bring. I think after Jessica Lange left the show it was a hard adjustment for everyone involved to see how they were going to make things work, like the past two seasons, and now they have finally found their fit.
For those of you who didn’t watch it, or haven’t ever watched "American Horror Story," let me recap this episode for you.
It starts off on election night when Donald Trump is named President of the United States and Sarah Paulson’s character, friends and family are devastated. On the flip side, you see Evan Peters’ character who is more than excited that Trump is announced president. Now Paulson’s character has a phobia of clowns and holes, and she starts seeing clowns everywhere she is at. One night when Paulson is out testing food for her restaurant with her wife and their son is left with a babysitter. Their son notices that a group of people dressed up in clown masks show up in an ice cream truck across the street. Their son says that he saw the clowns kill their neighbors, but the babysitter convinces Paulson and her wife that it was just a night terror.
I can already tell this season is gonna be amazing. As a little kid, I was terrified of clowns and the same goes for a lot of other people. I think if people are gonna start watching "American Horror Story" this is the season to do it. I just think there’s something very creepy about a clown cult that goes around killing people. I also like how the writers and producers incorporated some real life controversies, like the 2016 election and gay relationships. I just wonder if the show decided to bring clowns into the mix because of the new It movie coming out this year. It seems like nowadays a lot of shows and movies have been following this creepy clown theme. I believe no matter what way they do it, it is always scary for people, no matter how many different times a new clown theme comes out. If you’re a person who’s scared of clowns then you’ll always think these new movies/shows are terrifying. I can’t wait to see what this season brings for viewers.
