It's that time of year again - summer's ending and everyone's flocking back to school. High schoolers complain of school, but any college kid knows that going back to school is one of the best times of the year!
Moving back to school feels like the beginning of an adventure. The new school year brings an air of mystery and excitement. Your neighbors might be new, the classes bring new opportunities to make friends, and there're a whole new set of weekends to be conquered. Brunches will be filled with recaps of the nights before and laughing about things no one wants mentioned ever again. Embrace it!
Moving back to school feels like coming home. You're home. You get to go to a space that you've personalized. Yeah, it's with most of your parent's stuff and food you've raided from the kitchen, but its your house. The fridge has your food, you've got your routine down, and that spot around the dining room table is y.o.u.r.s.
Moving back to school feels like growing up. You're one year closer to graduating and to the big kid world that may be terrifying but also exhilarating. Soon you'll be making your own decisions and be more in control of your life (but your mom will probably take care of the dentist because that's a little too adult).
Getting back to school is awesome and there's no telling what the start of the year could bring. It ushers in the time of putting sundresses away, pulling out the boots, scarves, and pumpkin spice lattes. Moving back starts you off on a blank page in the book that is your college career. Have a blast.
