Several tragedies have happened in my hometown the past couple of weeks; we have lost several lives in just one month. It's really made me open my eyes to the value of life. Just what does it really mean to honestly value life? And then next most important question, is how can I value my life and make the most of it? I've been thinking, praying, and searching for answers.
1. Treasure your love ones:
These are your friends and your family. they have your back no matter what, but in a blink of an eye they can be taken from you. Always hold them close to your heart and always tell them that you love them every chance you get; you never know when it'll be your last time.
2. Don't get caught up in material things
After you leave Earth, you can't take any of this with you. This is money, fame, and any material thing that makes us happy. We get so caught up in wanting to have the next best thing, and be one step ahead..when in reality, none of that matters.
3. Don't take anything for granted
And when I say anything, I mean anything. This is family, friends, events and time. Always be thankful for everything that you have, and say thank you to the people who help give you these things.
4. Don't stress the small things
What you would you consider a mountain, your neighbor could consider a grain of sand. Never dwell and feel sorry for yourself because you had one bad day. You had a bad day not a bad life. If the thing that's stressing you out won't matter in 48 hours, then it's not even worth your time. Some people would be grateful to have your "problems."
5. Follow God's word
This is by far the most important. If you follow His Word and the path that He's guiding you on, He'll never lead you wrong. Matter how hard life hits you, He's going to be right there taking care of you. Even when it is time for you to take your last breath you'll know that you'll be in His hands.
