What would you say your life goal is? Who is your life goal? Do you catch yourself or loved ones saying "relationship goals," or "best friend goals." This has become a generation that's obsessed with what everyone else has. There are people who say Kim and Kanye are relationship goals, or that someone else's body is fitness goals. This is crazy and it must STOP NOW!
Life goals are different for everyone, but does your life goal fall into the path that God has laid out for you? Matthew 10:31 "You are worth more than many sparrows." Your life is awesome just as it is. No one posts their entire life on social media. Most people don't post the rough stuff that makes their lives hard to handle. On a side note: to those people who feel like you are the only one that is going through struggles, you are not actually alone. Every single human being on the face of the earth struggles with something- even celebrities and rich people have screwy lives every now and again.
Psalm 139:14 "You are BEAUTIFUL. For you are fearfully and wonderfully made." This should be your #bodygoals or #fitness goals. The media has crammed our minds with ideas of what is considered to be beautiful and acceptable. Let's talk about #relationshipgoals for a second. Everyone is so wrapped up in wanting their relationship to be just like that one on Pinterest or in the movies. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but they are not real. Just because a couple may take cute pictures, it is important to remember that no relationship is perfect. Everyone has their own struggles, imperfections, and battles. It is easy to focus only on what we see as the "perfect relationship," but the only perfect relationship that can ever fully satisfy you is a relationship with Christ Jesus.
My advice would be to stop wanting what everyone else already has. Step back and look at what God has given placed right in your lap. Those are the plans and blessings that were chosen for you. If God wanted you to be 5'7 and 135 pounds, then he would've made you just like that, but he didn't. Embrace who you are, and how you were created. Take pictures of everything you do and enjoy life's precious moments. You only get each moment once, and no two moments are alike. If you want to lay in bed all day, go for it. Take time for yourself, in order to be the best version of you, it is neccessary. If you want to tour the country in a light blue wagon with your best friends, do it! Do it for yourself and because you want to. The moment you try and live someone else's life is the moment you stop living yours. Don't wear yourself out.
