As Thanksgiving approaches us very quickly, have you stopped to take a moment and think about what you are thankful for? Well, I have, and I have so much to be thankful for.
My family.
In another state or living in the same household as me, I know my family will always be there for me. I am so thankful that I have my families support with every decision I make.
My mother.
After battling a tough fight with breast cancer, I am so thankful that she is still with my family and me today. Without her, I do not know what I would do without my best friend.
My father.
Supporting me through college and helping me out whenever I need help deciding on what to do with something, I know he will always answer his phone to help me out. I am so thankful for all that my father does for me; from paying for me to attend the best university to always being there for me when in need of help, I know I can always count on him.
My boyfriend.
My number one fan. He always has my back and never shuts me up when all I want to do is sit there and complain. He is always there to pick me up and make me smile even on my worst days. I am so thankful to have such a loving boyfriend who loves me unconditionally. I am so beyond thankful for you.
My sister.
Although we fight all the time, I know she will always be there for me and hear me out. I am thankful that I get to spend another couple of years attending the same school as her as we make out way through our college careers.
My brother.
I am so thankful that we have such a good in-person relationship. I know I can always count on him to tag along with me when I have to run errands or just be there to have fun. Thank you for being such a great brother.
My grandparents.
Thank you for helping me when I needed you all the most. You are always there for me and I know we may not see each other often, but I know you are all just a phone call away. Thank you for being the most lovable and caring grandparents out there.
Nanny.
My 99-year-old great grandmother who is still with us today. I am so thankful that you are still with us and able to see the family grow from generation to generation. You have made such a huge impact on my life and I cherish every moment we have. Thank you for being the best great grandmother I have ever had and for being you, nanny.
My best friend from home.
Ivory, thank you for putting up with all my complaints and dealing with me on a daily basis. Thank you for dragging me out of bed when all I want to do is be in bed to run errands with you. Thank you for being the most amazing friend and always being by my side through everything. I appreciate our friendship so much and love you like not other!
My best friend/roommate.
Sheridan, thank you for always being there for me, even at the earliest or latest times of the day. You are such a great friend and we have such a great friendship that I will always cherish. Thank you for being you and putting up with me and my craziness. Love you, Demi.
Noa.
AKA Kariene. I honestly don’t know what I would do without you. If I did not meet you during pearl pals within the sorority, I do not know if I would have stayed. You are literally one of my best friends and I am so thankful to have met you. I am so excited for what the future has in store for both you and I. Thank you for being a best friend and always being there for me.
The University of Arizona.
Without having my parents push me to go to college out of state, I would have never got to experience the amazing opportunities that the University of Arizona has to offer. I am so thankful that I got to experience college the way that one should experience college.
Alpha Epsilon Phi.
Here, in my sorority, I have met some amazing people that I am lucky enough to call my best friends. I am so thankful that Alpha Epsilon Phi gave me a home away from home and life long friends.
Roxy and Lola.
The best dogs out there. The most loving, cute, and cuddly little pups you ever did see. Thank you for being the best dogs out there and comforting me when I need you both the most.
I am thankful for the healthy life that I get to live filled with nothing but laughter and smiles.
There is so much to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving
