A Weeks Worth of Faces If You Do Not Work Monday-Friday

Let's face it. Not everyone works Monday through Friday and has the weekend off. I for one, am one of those people too. We are not alone we are out there! There are definitely things I dislike about it but it also has its perks as well. These are just some things that is just second nature to say or things that I have encountered.

1. Happy Friday!

Ummm no. Not happy. I work the weekend. While you are out partying and having fun I am either out and get no sleep for work or I am home being responsible and not "having fun". Being called a "party pooper" for having to work the next day is basically my nickname.

2. EEW Monday!

Okay so I'm actually excited for Mondays! They are basically like my "Friday" to me. But again, everyone else starts their week so I'm usually having my mock-Friday alone with Netflix.

3. Partys? Going out AND sleep?

So with the whole Monday being my "Friday" being said, no where is having deals or is even open for me to enjoy a "night out" which kind of bring me back to, if i want a night out then goodbye sleep over the weekend for work.

4. Have a great weekend!

Okay so this one is a hit or miss because, yes, I have a great weekend but not like how everyone else does. You say it because you do not have work or anything but some of us do because not everywhere can be closed Saturday and Sunday!

5. Want to go _____ over the weekend?

Do I want to? YES? Can I? NO. I work. So its either I make money or I spend it wherever we go.

6.Can`t you just call off work?

7. How do you work that kind of schedule? Don't you want a normal one?

Normal? To me my schedule IS normal! I work it because I'm use to it.

If these faces do not explain my week then I don't know what does!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
