Winter can be tough when the weather feels like -12 degrees outside with an unceasing amount of wind to the face. The cold weather and snow-covered streets make it hard to leave the house or even find the motivation to get out of our cozy bed.

But instead of crawling back into bed or sulking about the dreary weather, I’ve come up with a few other winter-friendly ideas! So bundle up or get in your comfiest PJs and get ready for a fun-filled winter.

1. Get a full night’s sleep



2. Wear cozy socks around everywhere

3. Make hot chocolate

4. Go to a new museum

5. Go see a movie and make sure to get popcorn



6. Build a snowman

7. Put together a puzzle

8. Have a board game night with friends

9. Buy a new warm scarf

10. Try ice skating



11. Prevent dry skin with frequent face masks

12. Cook every night for the week

13. Take a workout class for the month

14. Go to a wine and paint party

15. Find a cozy coffee shop and read a book

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
