Despite the fact that the film, "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms," did not gain a favorable review, I still want to watch this film. I want to see what the reason is. Plus, this film looks fun to watch with my family during this winter season. At the same time, I am still excited about watching this film because of these three reasons.

1. The beautifully aesthetic costumes

The aesthetics are stunning to look at as well as the costumes. When I first look at the trailers and the posters, the costumes and the aesthetics are really what caught my eye. They are very colorful and very detailed. One can get the fairytale or fantasy like feel from these costumes and aesthetics. The costumes have the holiday, winter or Christmas feeling as well. It also brings a nice, nostalgic memory of the classic Nutcracker story that everyone knows and loves. This film has a wonderful and beautiful, visual presentation to gaze upon.

2. It's a live action film

The only film that I have watched about a nutcracker is "Barbie In the Nutcracker." Now when I first saw the trailer about this film, "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms," I was astonished about it. I want to see to how they portrayed the story of the Nutcracker, especially that this film will be live action. This time, the title of this Nutcracker film includes, "The Four Realms," which makes me wonder about these four realms and how they connect to the story of the Nutcracker. This will be another film about a Nutcracker that I will know, other than "Barbie In the Nutcracker." Will the story be the same or different from "Barbie In the Nutcracker"? Will the film be full of suspense and action?

3. There's a strong heroine

The main protagonist of this film, Clara (portrayed by Mackenzie Foy) seems to be wearing a Nutcracker outfit in the trailer. This then takes a different turn to the tale of the Nutcracker. From the looks of it, I think that this film might be totally different from the "Barbie In The Nutcracker" film. I love watching fantasy films that depict a strong heroine. Also from looking at the film's trailer, the Sugar Plum Fairy (portrayed by Keira Knightley) seems to play a bigger role in this film version of the Nutcracker.

I hope this film is better than I expected!

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
