The War Against The Poor

We must put aside our petty differences!

We tend to get caught up in this systems deceptive distractions, while we have been numb to one big thing and that thing has been going on for decades, it has been a war going on right here in the United States. The thing that I'm referring to is the war on the poor, I know that some say "dude you're nuts!" but lets look at a couple of things, and I ask anyone who's reading this to please hear me out and honestly think about it before disregarding my thoughts.

First, lets look at the banking system and their overdraft fees (who do you think this effects, the rich?) No it does not so if you think about it like penalizing people for struggling, that my friends simply isn't right. Second, lets take a look at the no insurance ticket, once again (who does that really effect the rich?) If you answered yes then you're wrong. Let me say this from my experience as a person who has driven or rode with someone without insurance before, it makes you a more conscious driver and the ones who have done it before knows what i'm talking about but let me get back to my point.

In order to get to work and grocery shop, among other important things, you need a way to go, I hear a lot of people say if a person can't afford insurance they shouldn't be on the road, so are they saying that a person who has a way to get to work and is trying hard to better themselves, the very ones that know that what they're in is their only means of getting to work would drive carelessly is out of their minds. To those people I have two questions.

1. Don't you think if a person could afford insurance they would have it?

2. Why would anyone want to drive around looking over their shoulders hoping that they don't get pulled over and also hoping that no one is driving carelessly?

So to me when they hand insurance tickets out, they're handing you a bill that costs more than the bill that you couldn't afford in the first place. It's simple logic if I had the money wouldn't I have the smaller bill to keep from getting the big bill? When you can't pay the ticket they want to lock you up but there's a problem with that as well, if you lock me up and I can't pay your other bill to get out I end up loosing my job and now I have no way of paying anything so I have to start over again. I ask you why is it such stiff penalties on things that you have to have money to keep from getting penalized for riddle me that if there's not a war on the poor.

Let us take a look at this phrase that I hear politicians drop out of their mouths a lot, "The Working Poor," in my mind when I hear this phrase is that they're telling me that the same people and country that tells me that if I work hard enough I will have a decent living, but then turns around and have the nerve to tell me that I'm working just to be called poor.

We have evolved tremendously from a technological standpoint, while devolving mentally and spiritually. Humankind has allowed their hearts to harden and become numb by this system, we must undo this terrible atrocity. We must put aside our petty differences and come together or we can continue on this destructive path and perish together.

Peace and Love to all humankind.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
