If you're someone like me, then you spend a lot of your time lusting after beautiful graphics and amazing gameplay. More time that you probably should. If you're also someone like me, you can't really afford anything like video games. Those things come out $50 a pop at best.
Just to make you read and weep, here are some video games I've been drooling over this year.
1) Overwatch - $40 to $60
Overwatch may look like another one of those basic first-person multiplayer video games, but it's just a little bit more than that. Every character you can choose is completely unique from their design to their attack style. It looks really cool and I want to play it so badly.
2) The Last Guardian - $60 to $80
In this game, you play as a young boy who mysteriously wakes up next to a frightening yet adorable cat/bird beast known as a "Trico". The boy and the beast make the perfect pair to solve puzzles to explore and escape the temple they woke up in. The visuals in this game are absolutely breathtaking and completely individual. Plus, this game took over 9 years to develop. It's gotta be impressive!
3) Watch Dogs 2 - $40 to $60
This game first caught my attention with its GTA like vibe. The more I looked into it though, it seemed much more interesting than GTA. You play as a hacker who works for a large hacking organization in San Francisco. Once again, I was also drawn in by the cool looking graphics.
4) No Man's Sky - $20 to $30
Here's a hint: I'm usually drawn by cool graphics and design. For this game, it was the cover that got my interested. I saw it on a large piece of cardboard while I was in Gamestop, and I stared. While the price isn't as scary on this one, I can't afford the PS4. Therefore I can't afford the game. In this game, you are spawned onto a randomly generated universe with randomly generated planets. While this game has a 5/10 rating on Steam, I think it's a bit of an unfair rating.
5) Final Fantasy XV - $60
This game was in development for 10 years and everyone was super dramatic when it first came out. That's mostly why it got my attention (and the realistic graphics). This game is supposed to have a similar gameplay to Kingdom Hearts. You play as a price named Noctis on his fight as the rightful heir to the throne of his kingdom. Seems sort of basic, but look at that cover! Doesn't say basic to me. I expect a lot from these Final Fantasy games.
