To all the moms out there...
Recently, I've noticed how truly lucky I am. My mom is absolutely incredible. I guess over the years, I've gotten so wrapped up in what's happening in my life, I often forget to say thank you. So mom, thank you for all you do. Whether it's sending me something I forgot at home, taking time out of your day to call me and make sure I'm doing okay at school, or making me a homemade dinner while I'm home, I am incredibly thankful. I am sure that after a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is come home to 4 starving kids begging you for dinner. Sure, it would be easy to go out to dinner instead of making it. But somehow, dinner is on the table in 20 minutes, flat. You never hesitate to push your needs aside for something we need. You have always put us first.Even when I don't always say thank you, I am always thinking it.
Without you, I wouldn't even be here. You have taught me how to love and how to be loved. You have taught me the difference between what's right and what's wrong. You have shown me what it's like to be absolutely selfless. You have taught me how to put others before myself. You have taught me how to work hard and never give up, especially through tough times. The things you have taught me throughout my life are lessons and values I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Even when I'm a pain and leave my room a mess, or my siblings and I bicker, or I'm just being the teenager that I am, at the end of the day, regardless of the events of that given day, you still hug me and tell me you love me. Even when I pretend to be "too cool" and push you away when you're trying to kiss my cheek, just know that I really do appreciate all you do. Nothing you do goes unnoticed, mom.
So a special THANK YOU goes out to you, Mom. Thank you for being the best mom. Thank you for being selfless and teaching me what it is like to love, unconditionally. Thank you for always thinking of us, even after a long day. Thank you for giving me all of the incredible opportunities you have. You have taught me my values and have given me a life that I am incredibly grateful for. Even when I don't say it, thank you for all you do. I love you with all my heart and don't know what I would do without you.
