While this isn't true, it is one of my favorite things to make. I can add ANYTHING to it, and it's amazing. I've tried so many pasta recipes, and this is one of my favorites —and so easy.
Penne Puttanesca
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add A LOT of salt; like the ocean people.
Heat oil in a large pan, add 4 minced garlic cloves, let them lightly brown. Add a can of diced tomatoes, a half cup of chopped Kalamata olives, two tablespoons of chopped capers, a pinch of salt, and a smaller pinch of red pepper flakes. Season with a little black pepper, and simmer for ten minutes, stirring slightly.
Add this sauce and 1/4 cup chopped parsley to drained pasta, and mix it until it's all covered in goodness. Taste it — at this point, I usually add some more black pepper, but it's totally up to you!
