Valentine's Day is a day where it is 100 percent acceptable to eat like crap. It's impossible not to with all the sweets being given as gifts! If you want to give some treats as gifts or just feel like baking cute treats for Valentine's Day, here are some super fun and easy no bake desserts with a Valentine's twist!

Marshmallow pops


Ingredients:

Jumbo Marshmallows

Chocolate

Toppings of your choice

Directions:

1) Cut a tiny slit into the top of your marshmallows and put your stick inside. After this, put your marshmallows in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.

2) Melt your chocolate! Stir this frequently until it is completely melted. Put your toppings in a bowl or tray.

3) Dip your marshmallows into your chocolate and tap off the excess. Then dip them into your toppings quickly - the chocolate will not take long to harden since the marshmallows are hard from being frozen.


Chocolate covered pretzel hearts


Ingredients:

Mini pretzels

Chocolate chips

Heart sprinkles

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350.

2) Place your pretzels on a cookie tray.

3) Place one chocolate chip in the center of each pretzel.

4) Bake in the oven for 1 to 2 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Once melted, take them out of the oven and place a candy heart in the middle.

5) Place in the fridge to set everything. Once they are set, eat!


White chocolate covered popcorn


Ingredients:

Popcorn

White chocolate

Valentine's sprinkles or candies

Directions:

1) Pop your popcorn and lay it out on a parchment paper covered baking sheet.

2) Melt your chocolate and drizzle it onto your popcorn.

3) Add your heart sprinkles or candy of choice, and let set until cool. That's it!


Wafer Cookies


Ingredients:

Strawberry wafers

Chocolate of choice

Toppings of choice

Directions:

1) Melt your chocolate and set toppings in a bowl or tray.

2) Dip half of the wafer cookie into your chocolate, and cover in whatever topping you want! Let them dry. Done!


Strawberry Fudge


Ingredients:

Strawberry frosting

White chocolate chips

Sprinkles or candy

Directions:

1) Spray a baking pan with cooking spray - not too much.

2) Melt a 12 oz bag of chocolate chips.

3) After melting the chocolate, stir in 16 0z of strawberry frosting.

4) Add sprinkles or candy and spread into your baking pan. Set in fridge for 30 minutes or until hardened.

5) Cut into desired shapes!


Yogurt cups


Ingredients:

Yogurt

Whipped topping

Strawberries

Directions:

1) Fill mini cupcake cups with yogurt

2) Cover the tops with your whipped topping (should be slightly frozen).

3) Freeze for one hour.

4) Serve with strawberries on top!


Valentine's kabob


Ingredients:

Brownie mix

Strawberries

Marshmallows

Directions:

1) Make brownie batter as box directs you to, then pour batter into mini muffin tins.

2) Cut stems off strawberries and make sure they are completely dry after washing them. Make sure brownies are completely cool, too.

3) Take your stick and put on strawberries, mini brownies and marshmallows in any pattern you want. Add additional melted chocolate if you like, too!


Cupid's float


Ingredients:

Vanilla ice cream

Cherry or cranberry flavored soda (like cherry 7up or cranberry sprite)

Directions:

1) Put however many scoops of ice cream you want into a cup or mug.

2) Add in soda.

3) Whipped cream and a cherry!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
