Vacations are always the best no matter where you go or how you go. Are you dreaming of far off places?

1. You can't remember the last time you went on a trip

Maybe last summer, maybe two summers ago, no matter what it seems like forever ago.

2. It's summertime/holiday break

Days off and the sunshine are two characteristics that point to vacations.

3. You have a vacation planned out in your mind

4. You procrastinate work by looking up dream vacations

The ads on your websites now include hotels and airline companies, maybe even Disney World and Universal Studios.

5. You saved up enough money

You've been saving all year and you finally have enough to go.

6. A friend invited you on a trip

Hell yeah, go!

7. Your family could use some bonding time

Nothing says bonding time like a seven-hour road trip with just enough space for everyone!

8. It's your birthday or a friend's birthday or you graduated or really any celebration

Why not celebrate a special occasion?

9. You really just want to get away

Everyone could use a break rather it's school, work, or just the same old routine.

10. You want a vacation

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
