With the news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) sweeping the world, our lives have changed dramatically. Many of us are under a self-imposed quarantine; only leaving our homes for essential needs.

A time of social distancing can be difficult to get through. It's especially difficult when we don't know when things will go back to normal.

One of the things that can help in difficult times is music. So here are the top ten tracks to get you through this quarantine.

10. "I Have a Dream" - ABBA

This classic ABBA song details hanging onto one's dream to help get through tough times. This is a practice we all should be engaging in right now.

9. "Dance Again" - Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull

Lopez claimed she connected with this song after her divorce from singer Marc Anthony. She interprets the lyrics to be about loving again after a breakup. While we're all stuck in our homes, it's important for us to remember that we will, in fact, dance again.

8. "Relax, Take It Easy" - Mika

Fear and anxiety can manifest themselves in very unhealthy ways during a time of crisis. Sometimes it helps to have a song that gives you good advice in those moments.

7. "Love Will Save The Day" - Whitney Houston

One of Houston's lesser-known songs, this is an uplifting tune about how love prevails even in the toughest times.

6. "Always Tomorrow" - Gloria Estefan

We might be going through a difficult time right now, but it's important to remember that there's always tomorrow.

5. "Gon' B Alright" - Janet Jackson

From Jackson's 2015 album, "Unbreakable," this tribute to Sly and The Family Stone offers a very comforting message. No matter what, we're going to be alright.

4. "Keep The Faith" - Michael Jackson

This is a deep cut from Jackson's "Dangerous" album, released in 1991. This gospel-inspired track provides an uplifting message about hanging onto faith when things get difficult.

3. "The Cure" - Lady Gaga

This was released as a single in 2017 to hype Gaga's Coachella performance. The lyrics don't refer to a literal cure, but rather the healing power love and music has.

2. "Make it Happen" - Mariah Carey

Carey wrote this song about her early struggles prior to getting a record deal. The song's message continues a common theme in Carey's work. No matter what obstacles come your way, you can overcome them with faith.

1. "Over and Over" - Madonna

Madonna is another artist who struggled prior to achieving her dream. This track, released on 1984's "Like a Virgin" album, talks about getting back up no matter how many times you get knocked down.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
