I am a huge video game addict. Ever since I was a little kid I have enjoyed playing video games with my friends. With the recent new releases coming out, here are some of the games that I am looking forward to coming later this year and next year.
1. We Happy Few
Take a 1960s England vibe where the happy go lucky world you live in may not be what it seems. You play as Arthur, a man who lives in a small time where everyone takes a pill known as "joy." One day, you decide not to take your "joy," and you begin to see the world in a very different light. With Arthur seeing what the world really is, he is known as a "downer," which is illegal to be in the town. Throughout the game you must escape the town full of people that will try their hardest to get you to be back on your "joy." I am personally excited about this game with the original idea that this company is bringing to the table. The early access of the game will be coming July 26th on Steam and Xbox. 2. Titanfall 2
I absolutely loved the first titanfall a couple of years back, but the game did lack a story to the robot action shooter. Titanfall 2 is offering the same multiplayer action that we loved from the first game, and now adding a story between a pilot and his titan. The new game offers the same fun multiplayer that we played in the first game, but I can see that the developers are polishing up what they did before with the new game. Be sure to pick this one up October 28th for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
3. God of War
God of War has been one of the games that made the PlayStation franchise. With the God of War franchise crossing the PlayStation 2 in 2005, it was only right to bring the popular franchise the PlayStation 4. What makes me most excited about this game is that they have completely changed up the theme of God of War. The original theme was with Greek mythology, but now the developer have decided to transform the God of War to Norse mythology and the game looks good. I like how they are keeping the same name, but are not afraid to change the looks to keep the masses please. This will be a Playstain 4 exclusive, but has not released a date yet.
4. Battlefield 1
Speaking of people trying new ideas, Battlefield 1 is taking the popular first-person shooter back to World War one. The graphics and game play for this game looks amazing. The game will offer different types of weapons, tanks, and dogfights in biplanes. The only issue I am worrying about in this game is the same issue with the same company releasing Star Wars Battlefront last year which had the best graphics, but did not have that much content. This game will be available October 21st on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
5. Spider-Man
My final pick that I am excited about is the new Spider-Man game. I use to play the old Spider-Man games when I was younger, and it is time for a new one to come out. Insomniac games, the creators of Ratchet and Clank, released an action pack trailer that had me on the age of my seat with the new web slinging and combat system. No release date has come out yet, but we do know this will be a PlayStation exclusive.
Did I miss any upcoming games that you are excited about? Feel free to let me know what games I should be looking forward to in the near future.
