A very credible source, Urban Dictionary, defines a F*ckboy as “a guy that leads girls on and flirts with everyone and takes joy out of messing with a girl's feelings.” The insult has gained notoriety and is suddenly a part of everyone's vernacular. Simply put, a F*ckboy is a man who manipulates women's emotions so that he may sleep with them and/or attain some benefit from them. Often times, it is multiple women. It is an insult of the highest order, which is why we forget that these men have feelings as well. Usually their tendencies are due to a crippling fear of their emotions and possible eventualities. So their fear manifests itself in a series of actions, thus qualifying them for the title of a F*ckboy.

The mythological story of the f*ckboy changing for the person he loves in not a myth. It happens every single day. However, not every woman attempting to change his outlook on life will be successful. The women that come before her will be wasting their time.

All except for one. The one that makes him look at the world differently. The one that makes him yearn for his feelings because what he feels is simply happiness. That one individual that can make him feel like the weight he feels on his shoulders is a bit lighter. She shows him endless possibilities the world offers and makes him want to be, for lack of a better word, better.

To those on the outside looking in, don’t be the person that constantly reminds him of his past. The one thing that can inhibit the process of his change. He, like everyone else has made mistakes. He has been insensitive and selfish, but he still deserves happiness. Allow him to love. When a F*ckboy loves, he loves fiercely, unequivocally and with all of himself. Whoever is the recipient of such an intense love is lucky.
