Once again, February has come and Valentine's Day is on people's minds (whether they want that to be the case or not). But one thing that can help us get through the impending happiness or heartbreak and the aftermath is a really good playlist. In the spirit of this supposed holiday, this playlist consists of love songs, some that you might have heard and others not so much. So pick up your headphones and take a listen!

Drumming Song by Florence and the Machine

Honestly I recommend any song by Florence, she's pretty much perfect in every way possible. This particular song beautifully combines a good drum beat, great vocals, and interesting instrumentation to depict the jittery, hammering of a person's heart when they meet someone they like.

Fool for You Anyway by Foreigner

Alright, so I know this one is a little old school (it came out in the 70's) but it is just a really great song that I really think transcends its time. With an old-fashioned grove, soaring vocals, beautiful lyrics (that are definitely swoon worthy) and a guitar solo there's not much more you can ask for in a love song.

Tick of Time by The Kooks

I don't know what it is about this band, but I just love their work and this song is no exception. The tune and guitar combine to be simultaneously playful and sweet making it almost impossible not to just sit and sway to the music.

Must Have Done Something Right by Relient K

Ok so I'm not gonna lie: every time I listen to this song, no matter what mood I'm in, I can't help but smile. Not only that but this song is just a really good one to get up and dance to, which we all need a little more of in our lives, but the sentiments behind the lyrics are just really sweet.

Crazy for You by Adele

We all know that Adele is amazing and generally her work is really well known, but somehow I think this song went under the radar. One of her rare happy-ish songs, this one makes you want to sway to the calming vocals and guitar of someone who is really crazy about another person.

Addicted to Love (Robert Palmer cover) by Florence and the Machine

What can I say, I might have a minor obsession with Florence Welsh and I'm not even a little bit upset about it. I don't say this often, but I have to say that this cover might be better than the original (which was already pretty great to begin with). Once again beautiful vocals are combined with interesting instrumentation to make an all around awesome song.
