Every year people make a list to follow and try to become a 'new person' for the new year. Does everyone actually follow their New Year's Resolution List? No, but we still make them anyways. So here are 10 things to consider when making your list:
1. Don't make a resolution list.
2. When you think you need that extra drink, you don't.
3. When you think you took some great selfies, wait until tomorrow morning before posting.
4. Texting your ex is never a good idea (even if it is just to say 'Happy New Year").
5. Posting two Instagrams a day is still not okay.
6. Don't bother putting "working out everyday" or "lose 20 pounds" on your list. Be realistic.
7. Get over your desire for perfect attendance because we know you aren't going to leave that Netflix show.
8. Give up on the idea of waking up early to get ready for class. Yoga pants are still the outfit of choice.
9. Why give up coffee? What is life without Dutch Bros?
10. Be nice.
You don't need a list to make your year great. In May, you will look back at your list and think, "what was I thinking?" Take your year day by day. New Years Day is only the beginning. 2016 will be here and gone faster than you think, so enjoy it and be a nice human.
