The Ultimate List of On-Screen Hunks

It's about to get hot in here, and I understand if you take off all your clothes.

The Ultimate List of On-Screen Hunks

Some of my favorite movies of all time are made by the dreamy male lead that has captured my heart. Having the right on-screen stud as your leading man is a crucial decision to make. And although Hollywood boasts an overwhelming amount of attractive men, that does not make an ultimate on-screen hunk make. This guy has to be the total package: kind, funny, understanding, trustworthy, and, of course, smokin' hot.

Thus, I give you a definitive ranking of the fifteen most swoon-worthy on-screen hunks of all time.

15. Orlando Bloom circa Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

Your middle school self was sure to be gossiping about the absolutely delicious Orlando Bloom after his role in Pirates of the Caribbean.

14. Jesse Metcalfe circa John Tucker Must Die

Although we loved to watch Brittany Snow make his life a total nightmare in the teen-movie hit, John Tucker Must Die, we loved watching him shirtless, playing basketball, and swinging those hips even more.

13. Christopher Noth circa Sex and the City

Once fans got past Mr. Big's horrible fear of commitment, they immediately fell in love with his suave, sense of humor, cooking skills and irresistible sex-appeal. #teamBig

12. Matthew Macfadyen circa Pride and Prejudice

Anyone who watched this movie and heard Mr. Darcy say the famous line, "You have bewitched me body and soul, and I love-I love-I love you. I never wish to parted from you from this day on" immediately swooned and fell in love with the character. Mr. Darcy you can call me Mrs. Darcy anytime you want.

11. Matthew McConaughey circa How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days

It comes as no surprise that McConaughey is gracing this list, but the only reason to me that McConaughey deserves his spot here is because of his role in How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days (and maybe Failure to Launch). McConaughey is charming, witty and incredibly thoughtful in this flick and ends up winning over all of our hearts.

10. Dermot Mulroney circa The Wedding Date

Dermot Mulroney let us think that paying for dates was the best idea in the world in the phenomenal movie, The Wedding Date. But, what really sold us on him as a noteworthy on-screen hunk was his inspirational toast that read: "here's to the husbands who've won you, the losers who've lost you, and the lucky bastards who've yet to meet you".

9. John Krasinski circa The Office

We fell in love with Jim because of how much Jim was in love with Pam. If this sounds like it is in code to you, all you need to know is that this guy plays the cutest, dorkiest and most loving guy on the planet, which makes him an on-screen hunk.

8. Zac Efron circa Seventeen Again

This was the first moment when I said to myself, "Damn. Zac Efron is actually super hot." This was his breakout rule post HSM, and he made us all remember why we loved him again, as he played an endearing and sexy leading man.

7. Josh Lucas circa Sweet Home Alabama

Everybody loves a country boy (or maybe that's just me). Josh Lucas makes it into the top ten on-screen hunks list for his character's famous line that makes us all want to be his bride. When the leading lady asks him why he would want to marry her, he says, "so I can kiss you anytime I want." SWOON.

6. Ryan Gosling circa Crazy, Stupid, Love

We all know and love Ryan Gosling in his most famous role, The Notebook. But, I think what makes Ryan Gosling top the ultimate on-screen hunk list is his role in Crazy, Stupid, Love. His enviable relationship with Emma Stone, mixed with his killer style and impressive dance moves made us all remember why Ryan Gosling was #1 in our hearts.

5. Taylor Kitsch circa Friday Night Lights

With the classic bad boy character, Tim Riggins stole our hearts in the amazing TV show, Friday Night Lights. Underneath that tough, sexy (OHMYGOD SO SEXY) exterior, we found a Tim Riggins that was a fierce friend and lover of the simple life, and that makes me love Tim so much more.

4. Ed Westwick circa Gossip Girl

Although GG boasted some serious man candy (cough, cough Nate and Dan), the guy who made me want to be an Upper-East-sider was, of course, Chuck Bass. We fell for Chuck while watching the depth of his love for Blair and his inner struggle with being a better person, all while sporting some of the best suits known to man. There's only one fish in the sea for me, and it's a Bass.

[Ed. Note: it is now getting very difficult to write this article, as I am distracted by all this delicious man candy, but I will forge on.]

3. Chad Michael Murray circa A Cinderella Story

Just take a minute and really enjoy that gif. Though I shouldn't have to explain this, Chad breaks the top three of my ultimate on-screen hottie list because of his role in this movie. An athlete, closet smarty-pants, and sensitive and soulful character makes Chad the ultimate catch in this film. And I know my teenage (and adult) self would give her left arm to be Hilary Duff kissing him in the rain.

2. Channing Tatum circa She's the Man

I think I discovered what true love was after I saw Channing Tatum portray Duke in She's the Man. He has a body that won't quit, plays soccer like a god and would make a great best friend/boyfriend. AKA I LOVE YOU DUKE. CHOOSE ME.

So, who will be the ultimate on-screen hunk??? Well, to those who know me, this should come as no surprise.

1. Heath Ledger circa 10 Things I Hate About You

I love this guy. I love him. End of discussion. He was absolutely hilarious, dashingly handsome, rebellious, caring, smoldering, tempting, irresistible, perfect, angelic; the list goes on and on. If you have not seen this film, you will not understand, but the day the world lost Heath Ledger was a truly sad day for me. Heath, you were flawless in this role, and I will always love you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
