College isn't all about the grades.
It's often times about the experiences. Whether you have aspirations to accomplish something huge on campus or simply just want to make the most of your life, bucket lists have their place.
But what's really on a student's bucket list?
Students from Creighton University weighed in on what they want to accomplish before they graduate and here are the results.
1. Take a photo/selfie with the Father Hendrickson.
Might as well add in that twitter follow wish from the President as well.
2. Attend a wedding in St. John's church.
How have I not been invited to one yet? They are literally every weekend.
3. Roast a marshmallow on the eternal flame statue.
The only fire that promises not to go out on you while roasting one.
4. Get on a first name basis with Miss Debbie.
"How are you doing (insert name here)?"
5. Explore the tunnels.
If anyone wants to take part in the buddy system to accomplish this, let me know.
6. Feed a squirrel on campus (or domesticate one).
It can't be that hard, right? Just bring them a slice of pizza and you're set.
7. Attend a Nebraska Husker football game.
It really is okay to be a #jaysker. I promise (as long as you don't cheer for sports that Creighton has so stick with Nebraska football).
8. Crash a prom.
Because who doesn't want to relive the moments they were in their "prime?"
9. Attend candlelight mass.
Have to live out those Jesuit values. #AMDG
10. Attend a College World Series game.
Stick around after school ends and enjoy what Omaha is known best for in the summer: baseball.
11. Eat at Lisa's Radial Cafe.
Known for their breakfast, it is definitely not a location to skip out on.
12. Go ice skating downtown at Conagra.
How can you pass up the $5 entrance fee and a quality night with friends?
13. Participate on a Fall Adventure/Encounter Retreat.
You can't beat a weekend away from campus getting to know your classmates and building long-lasting friendships.
14. Study abroad.
London, Rome, China...Creighton has it all.
15. Become a Welcome Week beadle or guide.
Let's be honest, we all want to relive our first moments at college and there's no better way to bring back those memories than by welcoming 1,000+ new students to campus.
16. Ride the golden elevator.
How have some people rode it multiple times and I'm here just trying to get a glimpse inside? Tell me your ways.
17. Befriend a Jesuit.
If you ever need life advice, they're the ones to go to. They'll talk you through anything.
18. Be featured on ESPN at a sporting event.
Be loud. Be proud.
19. Get ice cream at Ted & Wally's.
Check out their Facebook page to see the daily flavors, but hurry there because nothing is guaranteed as it's all made fresh daily!
20. Stand in two states at once on the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge.
You can't pass up this photo opportunity no matter how many times it's been taken.
21. Do a late night Donut Stop run.
Midnight food cravings after long nights of studying? Donut Stop has your fix (at those college student prices.)
22. Visit Vala's Pumpkin Patch.
Enjoy a day full of caramel apples, turkey legs, hayrack rides, and shooting pumpkins out of cannons.
23. Spend an afternoon in the hammocks.
They're hard to come by on the nice fall days, but when you find one that's open, you've basically won the lottery.
24. Participate in the Encuentro Dominicano program.
Service. Traveling. Giving back. If any of those words caught your eye, the program may be for you.
25. Climb to the roof of the Old Gym.
There's nothing that says, "I'm a college rebel" more than climbing to the roofs of buildings. But, you can't argue it does have some of the best views.
26. Take a picture with every statue on campus.
Whether you enjoy playing leap frog or standing mighty, there's sure to be one that fits your personality.
27. Put soap in St. John's fountain.
A student can dream right?
28. Make the pool into a giant foam pit.
Might as well make something of the unused space.
29. Get an engraved Creighton name-tag.
There's nothing that says you've made it than a university tag with your name on it.
So Jays, how many items have you completed on your Creighton bucket list?
