1. Tell us a little about yourself?

Slade: Born and raised in the small town of Butler, AL. I am a big Christian and family man. Biggest hobby would be hunting. If I am not in Ttown then you can bet I am somewhere hunting. I completed my undergrad here at Bama. Currently, I am a first year MBA student. I also own a company called Grand Slam Outdoors and am actively pursuing several business ventures through it. I plan to either go full time start up with Grand Slam or accept a sales position after graduation.

Erik: I was born and raised in Homewood, Alabama. I have two older siblings, both of which currently reside in the Birmingham area. I’m strong in my faith and an active member of Church of the Highlands here in Tuscaloosa. Some of my favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing, cooking, exercising, playing tennis, and just being outside. I also really like going to the lake and the beach. I was fortunate enough to attend The University of Alabama for undergrad and I can honestly say that I had one of the best college experiences ever. Currently, I’m in my first year of graduate school working towards a Masters degree in Business Administration. After graduation, I plan to chase my dreams of becoming a leader in commercial real estate development.

2. Thoughts on Tinder?

Slade: Not a fan. I’d much rather meet someone in person for the first time than swipe right.

Erik: You won’t find me on there. Although I really enjoy meeting new people, I think there’s much better ways of meeting and getting to know people than matching with them on Tinder.

3. Describe your perfect women?

Slade: This girl has to be beautiful inside and out. Love God, love her momma, and love people. Have a personality that makes you feel good just by having conversation with her. She must be able to put up with me hunting all the time. If she’s willing to go with me then she might be a keeper. She would have to be supportive of my ambitions while also having her own. Then the cherry on top would be a 5-star chef in the kitchen. A home cooked meal is the way to my heart.

Erik: This is a tough one…The perfect woman for me is someone that challenges me, loves me for who I am, puts other before herself, is strong in her faith, and wants to have a big family. She needs to be energetic, optimistic, and charismatic. I want her to enjoy drinking a good glass of wine with dinner every now and then. It wouldn’t hurt if she enjoyed cooking either. What’d even be better is if she could beat me on the tennis court, but I won’t hold that against her.

4. You have the opportunity to plan the perfect date for your dream woman, what do you do?

Slade: I am old school so it starts with picking her up from her house. I’m talking suit, tie, rose, basically the whole nine yards. When she walks out (looking stunning of course) she will find the door being held open for her. From there we will make a quick trip across town to the Riverwalk. While the sun is setting, we will enjoy a long walk to the private yacht where a full course dinner will be awaiting us. Then, well I wouldn’t want to ruin the ending because she might be reading...

Erik: I would take her out on the lake during the early spring for an evening cruise in the boat. We would stop in my favorite spot on the lake to watch the sunset, drink a glass of red wine, and talk about life. I would have John Mayer playing softly on the radio as I look her in the eyes and get to know who she really is. Then, we would go back to the lake house and I would cook her favorite meal for her. I’d light some candles to really set the mood and keep the bugs away and enjoy a delicious meal on the outdoor patio.

5. Favorite Meal?

Slade: We are taking this one back home. Mom whipping up some mashed potatoes, garden peas, fresh salad, fried deer steak, and a large glass of homemade sweet tea. It doesn’t get any better than that unless you are adding grandmothers famous chocolate chip cookies to it for dessert.

Erik: I would have to say my favorite meal is homemade Italian food like lasagna or spaghetti with a big salad and some fresh bruschetta or stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer.

6. Biggest Pet Peeve?

Slade: Not responding to a text message. Drives me nuts to send a message that has some importance and get nothing back. Turn your read receipts back on, don’t dismiss it on your apple watch, and just reply.

Erik: My biggest pet peeve is bad manners. I can’t stand when people don’t say please and thank you, don’t offer to help out when they go to someone’s house, don’t clean up after themselves, don’t appreciate people doing nice things for them, and just don’t have a sense of common courtesy.

7. Why did you choose UA?

Slade: Tradition. Between almost all of my family members being Alabama alumni and a pretty decent football team there wasn’t really any other option. I didn’t apply to any other school or even do a campus visit. I knew that I needed to be in Tuscaloosa cheering on The Tide.

Erik: I chose UA simply because I loved the campus and enjoyed all the time I spent down here at football games and other sports events when I was growing up. I could not have asked for a better college experience. This university connected me to so many unique and amazing people that changed my life forever. It also provided me with so many amazing opportunities to further my development and success in areas other than academics. I couldn’t have picked a better university!

8. Why have you failed at finding love?

Slade: I wouldn’t say that I’ve failed at finding love. I have definitely had my intimate relationships. The longest lasting from senior year of high school all the way till the summer after college graduation. 5 years (including all of college undergrad) is a long time! So now I am just doing me and enjoying the bachelor life until Mrs. Right shows up.

Erik: I haven’t failed at finding love. In fact, I dated an amazing girl for a little over two years during my sophomore and junior years of college, but life eventually lead us in different ways. We shared a lot of great memories together that I will cherish forever. I learned so much about myself during that time. After that, I wanted to take some time to really focus on my goals and getting myself to where I want/need to be because when I do find someone, I want to be 100 percent ready for her. She better watch out because I’m “coming in hot” as Jason Aldean says it!

So there you have it ladies, two Alabama gentleman just looking for their dream woman to show up. Wine, the Riverwalk, and an ambitious guy, what else could you ask for? Don't wait because these guys certainly won't be available much longer!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
