I think that we can go without saying that there are many types of guys that one encounters in their 4 (or more) years of school. It is the time for guys to express themselves, whether it be through a social group on campus, athletics, or dropping a sick beat on party nights. You will find at least 10 of these men when you just leave the house for a day of class. You also probably know 1+ of these men personally, and will continue to meet these men after you graduate.
- The Forever Frat Boy- Sperry's, frisbee, and Vineyard Vines till he dies. No-one can stop him from waving his letters and reminiscing on those good old pledge days. The wild spring break trips, and weekly brotherhoods will continue forever. To him, frat is life, life is frat.
- The Know-it All- Everyone knows one of these. He will never put his hand down in class and actually listen to people when they are talking. He knows everything about everyone and he will try to prove you wrong whenever you try to make a comment about politics, daily news stories, and people’s personal business.
- The White Rapper- This phase is a new one to everyone, but these jersey wearing, beat throwing, chain hanging “rappers” think that they are making history. Whenever you speak to them, you can expect some sort of slang/gibberish in return, and whenever the bass drops you can expect them to spit a beat.
- The Sorority Rat- This boy probably resembles Ellen Degeneres in some way. He is past the point of asking, and past the point of knocking on the door, they know the door code. No matter what they are getting their bagel, chocolate milk, and a whole lot of female attention.
- The Player- You can count on this guy to attend every party and stalk every female. From across the room he is staring you down and gesturing to the door. He is good looking, but approachable, and he never has one target.
- The High School Jock- He tells every day about the many state championships he won with his high school basketball and track team. He wears his got milk sweatshirt with his state times out partying, and always manages to ask, “so what sports did you play in high school?” Move on.
- The Blacked Out By 9 pm- This is the raging alcoholic, that goes over and above 5 days a week. He is not casual, and definitely not functioning. He believes that it’s “5 o’clock somewhere” every time he drinks.
- The Overachiever- This guy is usually the engineering major that didn’t drop engineering. He is smart while still managing to go to the gym on the regular and have a social life. He knows what he wants and he always has a plan.
- The Coffee Shop- This boy is every girl’s weakness, and he know’s it too. His bedroom is straight out of tumblr, and his pants are always rolled up to ankles. He is smooth, listens to Bon Iver (vinyl edition), and plays some sort of instrument.
- The Country Boy- Who doesn’t love the big truck driving, country listening, cowboy boot wearing man? This boy is straight out of the Nicholas Sparks movie, The Longest Ride, and he will probably watch it with you too.
- The Late Bloomer- This 25 year old ex-fraternity man is patiently waiting for a freshman to think his old age is “cute” and “mature.” This 6th year college student is taking his time, enjoying what college life has to offer, one slow year at a time.
- The Gamer- This quality is embedded into about every college male. The importance of Call of Duty, vintage Mario Kart, and FIFA can not be underestimated. This addictive activity is more important than food, water, and girls to the gamer.
- The God- This golden guy always has a girlfriend. Girls and guys alike will do anything for him. He is the most talked about guy on campus no matter how taken he is. The God is attractive, smart, and always has 100+ unread text messages on his phone. Everyone wants to be him.
