When you have a Type A personality there are many strange things that are exciting and even more strange things that are irritating. It's a way of life that is incredibly annoying to some, but very helpful and soothing to me. I didn't realize I was this way until college when I started making my own life, scheduling my own appointments, and figuring out exactly what it is I wanted to do. Living on my own 3,000 miles away from my mom and home made me particular in more ways than one. It may sound controlling or obsessive and yeah it pretty much is, but at this point I decided to like it. It help me stay together, stay on top, and stay sane in a life that is anything but.
1. Everything must have its place

2. Everything should stay as clean as possible

3. Everything that can be planned must be planned
Plans are the highlight of my life. I will do it so far in advance and I will do it often. I don't care what it is or who it's with if it can be planned it will be. This kills most of my friends, but gotta do what ya gotta do. If you don't like plans, just let me handle it and everyone's happy.
4. Lists are the dream
Making a list of things to do, things to buy, or people to see could not be any more satisfying. The only thing that is more satisfying is crossing those same things off. It's like a Type A high only certain kinds of people can understand and appreciate.
5. School supply shopping is the best kind of shopping
My favorite kind of shopping is for school supplies. I love to find new and exciting ways to organize, plan, schedule, and make all sorts of lists. Supplies for the manic Type A are where it all begins. School supplies like pencils and new planers are the root of all organizational skills and buying new ones is like Christmas everyday.
