This means a lot of different things to many different people. To some, it can be the two weeks before you begin your new job and that is exciting. To others, it can mean the two weeks of fall and Christmas break that your kids are out of school and that can mean mixed emotions. To those of us that deal with fertility problems, the two week wait can be the longest time of your life.
When you experience fertility issues, a lot of emotions catch a ride on your mind. You lay awake at midnight wondering if it is something you are doing, have done, are not doing, or haven't done. Is it your fault? What have you done to cause this? Is it your partner? Maybe it just isn't the right time. You blame yourself. You get depressed. You begin to think you are not worthy of creating life. You wonder if you will ever get to live your dream of being a mom.
You are NOT to blame. You ARE WORTHY of creating life. It just isn't your time. This isn't your season. You will come through this. You will make it to the top of the mountain. You are who you are destined to be. You are where you are destined to be in life. Everything comes in its own time. Everything will happen when it is meant to happen.
Trust in God. Trust in his timing. Trust that everything happens in his time. And in the meantime - travel, become your own person, meet new people, try new things, become a risk taker, become an adrenaline addict, become who you never thought you'd be. And in the time you are becoming who you are meant to transform to be, everything else will fall right into place.
