20 Things You Can Do Instead Of Studying For Finals

Finals are quickly approaching and let's be honest, they're the last thing we want to do right now. Here are twenty things you could be doing instead of studying for finals.

1. Watch all seasons of a tv show on Netflix.

Gossip Girl, Law and Order, New Girl, whatever floats your boat. There is nothing better than kicking back in bed and watching an entire television show in one sitting.

2. Clean your room

Bring out the vacuum and get every single corner of your room, bring out the Lysol wipes and clean all surfaces because you now notice how dirty your room is.

3. Online shop.

Check all online stores to see the sale section because who knows, maybe those shoes that you want are finally 30% off.

4. Do your laundry.

Is it overflowing? Is it just a few shirts? Whatever it is, doing laundry is better than studying.

5. Make your Christmas gift list.

Know what you want now, so when your parents ask you what you want you don't go brain dead.

6. Figure out what to get for your friends for Christmas.

Your friends are super important so take the time to think about what would be perfect for them.

7. Call your parents and complain about finals.

Your parents are always there when you need to complain. So call them up and complain about the struggles of being a college student.

8. Paint your nails and try and do intricate designs.

You know those Pinterest DIYs? Try one! You might discover a hidden talent.

9. Rearrange your bedroom.

Your room might be getting a little boring, and since you can't move out might as well see what your bed look likes in a different corner.

10. Catch up on all social media.

Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. We are millennials! It's only right that that we catch up on social media every five minutes.

11. Watch makeup tutorials on youtube and try them.

You might find your new look by trying a youtube tutorial! Or looking like a clown... either way it's way better than studying!

12. Clean out your closet.

Look through your clothes and see what hasn't been worn in a while. Bring them to a thrift store or donate them!

13. Watch the entire Harry Potter Series.

I have yet to do this because it is nearly impossible, but who knows, maybe you can endure all 7 Harry Potter films.

14. Binge-watch Christmas movies.

I love Christmas movies because they put you in a happy holiday spirit, so what better way to get you out the finals slumps then watching a cheery movie.

15. Go to Target and walk around aimlessly.

I do this too often but for some reason I always enjoy it.

16. Go work out (jk.)

Let's be real.

17. Take a nap, wake up, realize it's time for bed again, and go back to bed.

*hits snooze 500 times*.

18. Snapchat everyone on your friends list.

Show everyone that you're procrastinating and they will probably send you back the same thing back.

19. Figure out outfits to wear for the next couple days.

You should at least look good while studying.

20. Make a list of all the things you have to do, then procrastinate on that list by doing something on this list.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
