Where Do Your favorite TV stars Fall On Greek Row?

TV Stars Go Greek

Fiction or not, our favorite television characters feel like just another person in our friend group, except we can only see them once a week, when they are on TV. We relate easily to these characters even if they don’t actually exist and our time together is so sacred that we never miss a date.

For most of us, much of our friend groups are made up our Greek brothers and sisters. Which leaves room for us to wonder, where our TV friends would fit in on Greek row. Here is where I like to think my seven favorites fit in.

Olivia Pope (Scandal).  With her great wit and strong personality, I think her best fit would be Alpha Chi, as she is always trying to climb to the top. Nothing stands between her and success. And with that busy schedule there is no way she has time for football, so she would inevitably hate the Tide as well.

Serena Vander Woodsen (Gossip Girl). Channeling our Upper East Side on this one. I think she would end up as a Kappa. She’s always out on the town having a good time, while dressed as trendy as possible. I mean, who can forget her crazy years? She will fit right in.

Topanga Lawrence (Boy Meets World). Taking a flashback here to an iconic “girl next door” from my childhood. She would definitely be an Alpha Gam, with her sweet and spunky personality and good grades. There is no doubt that she is worthy to share the same house as the legacies of Bear Bryant.

Rachel Green and Monica Geller (Friends). The two are perfect example of best friends in completely different houses. I think Rachel would be best suited as a Zeta. Her bubbly personality and well put together style put her right in there with the rest of the Glamazons! However, I think Monica would be in ADPi.  While her compassionate disposition and unique ability to accept others is unmatched, this caring clean-freak flies under the radar just like our other lioness friends.

Here was the hard part for me -- what guys would be in what fraternities?

Screech (Saved By The Bell). This classic goofball gentleman could fit in just about any southern fraternity as their class clown pledge. But, I think he would best fit into Delta Chi due to his funny and laid lifestyle, paired with his ability to express his goofy personality at all times.

Stephen Colletti (Laguna Beach). While you guys may not know this 2000s hunk, girls know who he is, and by relation would know who you are. Stephen Colletti falls in at the Sigma Chi house. With his bro mentality and chill personality driving his every move, he is a sure-fire way to light up Derby Days. He can hangout and relax and still be a good time, but may need a few pointers when it comes to choosing women.

Phil Robertson (Duck Dynasty).  Who can’t call this one? He is clearly a KA. His southern charm and traditional ways would fit in great at Old South. Just like the brothers of KA, Phil and the rest of the Robertson clan bring a whole new view to redneck dynasties.

As you can see, all of these people are completely different and placing them in different houses on campus is a bit hard, but don’t you wonder where they would actually end up?Think about the epic parties we could throw with these guys.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
