If you are an avid "Friends" fanatic like myself, you know the ins and outs of all the character dynamics throughout the show. You know that Monica's teenage infatuation with Chandler returns in London, nothing serious ever comes from Phoebe's playful flirtation with Joey, and the convoluted, on-again-off-again relationship between Rachel and Ross. Though all of these dynamics are more prominent in different seasons, the dynamic between Ross and Rachel seems to begin with the very first episode and continues on to the very last episode. Needless to say, the two have a relationship much more complex than the others. However, their relationship is the most infamous on the show and is one many people long for. So, take a look at your crush, your history, how you interact with each other, and tell me if you can relate to any of the following eight signs that you and your crush are, in fact, the real-life Ross and Rachel.
1. You have known each other for several years.
And by several years, I mean almost your entire life. Ross and Rachel met at a very young age thanks to Monica, Ross' little sister, being best friends with Rachel in high school. How long have you known your crush? Odds are, if you've known them for a long period of time, you have Ross and Rachel's lengthy history behind you.
2. You have dated once before (or multiple times).
I think the most iconic part about Ross and Rachel's relationship is that one minute they love each other and the next they hate each other. Granted, I hope your relationship is not that extreme, but if it's anything in that ball park, you are dealing with the classic Ross and Rachel dynamic. Maybe you've dated each other once before, or maybe there have been multiple times where the timing wasn't right on one end and when it was, roles reversed. Anyhow, you and your crush have this thing for each other that just pulls you two together indefinitely.
3. You are friends with his friends, and he is friends with yours.
It is definitely not weird to hangout with his friends because his friends are your friends! In fact, you're probably close with one of his friends. But, that is just how that goes when you're Ross and Rachel. You two share several friends that will always know each and every detail about your relationship because lets be realistic, they are usually stuck right in the middle of it.
4. Everyone has their money on you two ending up together.
You gave up counting on your fingers how many times your friends or family members have asked if you two are together yet because you ran out of hands a long time ago. Ross and Rachel combat their friends comments about their relationship more often than not. When the two aren't together, everyone is just waiting for the day to come when they are.
5. You always have the most fun with them, no matter what you're doing.
It doesn't matter what you and your crush are doing, you are always have the best time. You could be sitting inside, watching "Friends," or going for a late night Dairy Queen run. Whatever it is, it is time well spent because you spent it together.
6. You know each other better than you know yourselves.
Due to the fact that you two confide in each other, you have managed to learn every little detail about them. You know their strengths, their weaknesses, their flaws, and what makes them tick (which you use to your advantage). You've learned how to best support each other and how to recognize what is best for the other person, because you two know each other better than you might know yourself.
7. You two bicker like an old married couple.
Ross and Rachel could easily be mistaken for an old married couple solely because of their bickering. Since you and your crush know just what makes the other one tick, you sometimes take advantage of that. You have multiple little, playful fights that end up in one of you pretending to be mad. However, you both know that your bickering is to only be taken lightly.
8. But most importantly, you cannot picture your life without each other.
Through everything between fighting, bickering, taking breaks and more, you are still each other's lobster. There is no question about it. You two were meant to be together and are perfect for each other. Neither of you want to picture a life without one another simply because you can't.
