Tuesdays Are The Best Day Of The Week, And These Are 30 Activities I'm Doing This Tuesday To Celebrate

Tuesday is my favorite day of the week. I'm constantly saying that it's underrated and cast aside in favor of Friday or Saturday.

Well, poo to the weekend. Tuesday isn't Monday, and it's not so late in the week that you're feeling unmotivated or stressed. The week as a whole still has this hopeful tinge to it, and I'm all about it.

As most people won't agree with this statement, and considering that next Tuesday has a particular significance, here are 50 activities that I'll be doing on Tuesday, November 6. I highly suggest you do them as well to really get the feel of how awesome they truly are.

1. Go to my four classes

2. Walk around KU to get to said classes

3. Breathe twice. At least

4. Wake up at 6:30am

5. Make a few acai bowls and smoothies at work

6. Drink a Dr. Pepper

7. Also drink some coffee

8. Possibly drink more caffeine (remember I woke up at 6:30am)

9. Send at least one Snapchat

10. Ride the KU bus

11. Totally not see someone wave at me while I'm walking to class (I apologize in advance).

12. Eat too much frozen yogurt

13. Try to re-hydrate after all that caffeine

14. Scare my roommate accidentally

15. Scare my roommate on purpose

16. Muse about existentialism and absurdism

17. Try not to have an existential crisis of my own

18. Learn about multiculturalism in the classroom

19. Stress about becoming a teacher

Giphy

20. Reassure myself that I will indeed be a good teacher because I'm in college learning about being said good teacher

21. Give at least one high five

22. Avoid walking in front of Wescoe because I don't want to talk to anyone tabling

23. Jam out while driving

Giphy

24. Go to bed early (or at least heavily consider it)

25. Mop floors with the competition (just kidding, it's just a regular ol' mop)

26. Contemplate dropping out then realize it's far too late now

27. Tie my shoes

28. Say at least five awkward things to people who just didn't deserve it

29. Smile several times (a few when it's the least appropriate time to do so)

30. Vote

That's right! This Tuesday is, in fact, midterm elections a.k.a. an important time you can do your civic duty a.k.a. your vote matters immensely in possibly changing how the future of this country will look.

So, just go ahead and vote. It is the best day of the week, after all.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
