When I was younger, I always knew that I didn't like to socialize with people much, whether it be my mom telling me to ask a lady for help or even just asking the waitress for silverware.
Personally, I believe this is one of my biggest set backs. I've never truly enjoyed going to social gatherings and now that I'm older, I am starting to understand why.
For me, social settings are places that I have to set myself apart and be able to be friendly at the same time.
For a normal person this would be fine, but for me, its much more difficult than what it appears. When you hear the phone go off at work you pick it up like no big deal but when we hear the phone go off it feels like there are 1,000 things buzzing and ringing all at the same time.
It's hard to explain if you don't live with this on a daily basis but if you have a friend or know someone who is suffering from this than you may have a better outlook then most people.
