Proverbs 3:5 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart." In life you will encounter times of sadness, sorrow, loss, and heartbreak, but you must believe and trust in the Lord. Sometimes you will go through a hardship so devastating that you question why this is Gods plan for you.
As a 17 year old girl who has yet to figure out where I want to attend college, what I want to major in, or even what I want to do tomorrow, I need to remind you of one thing; slow down. Take a minute to just breathe. Be thankful, be kind, and be the best possible version of yourself. You woke up, the sun is shining, it is a beautiful day, and you have so much to be thankful for.
Sometimes we can get caught up in the chaos of life. Just stop. Stop thinking about homework that is due, bills that need to be paid, chores that need to be done, or work that needs to be tended to. Life is short and tomorrow is not promised so be grateful for all that this life has to offer and for what God has given you. Don't get me wrong, I know that life isn't always sunshine and daisies. Sometimes there are days where I just want to give up. I had a day like this a few nights ago, and I called a friend.
As I was crying and talking to her she said to me, "There is nothing that I can say to make you feel better but just breathe. Take a deep breath and think about everything that you have. Think about your family, your friends, and everything that you are grateful for." I really took what she said to heart. Sometimes we need a reminder that nothing is actually as bad as it seems and that everything happens for a reason.
So take a minute out of your day to think about everything that you have. Do not take anything for granted, and tell someone you love how much they mean to you. Tomorrow is not promised.
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
