"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him." ~Psalm 18:30
Are you the kind of person who likes to plan, every moment to the last detail? every aspect of your future? your dream job, your dream wedding, your dream life? I think this is something that most of us do, if not all. Trust me I can tell you all about my plan for the future. I will have three cats (Soph, GG, and Alphie Yes, I already have their names picked) and as for my wedding and dream house, I will direct you to my pinterest board. Something I have learned recently has laid heavy on my heart, and I want to share it with you. I have learned to lay my dreams at the feet of the Lord, and to let Him continue his plan for me. I have learned that sometimes what I want, is not apart of His ultimate plan for me. I have become very at peace with this. You might be dealing with some smaller changes in plans like, not getting that raise, the scholarship you just knew was perfect for you, or that job you really wanted.
Isaiah chapter 55 verses 8 and 9 say "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth. So are my ways higher then your ways, And my thoughts than your thoughts."
No matter what I want, or how I think things should be, His plan is greater, bigger, and more powerful then mine. His ultimate grand plan is better then any plan I could ever draw up. One for my favorite songs right now is Trust in You by Lauren Daigle. The song says "When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing You to move, When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through, When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You!" Today, tomorrow, and forever I plan to trust in the Lord even when things do not go my way. Sometimes God's plan can be hard to understand, even I question it at times. Things always work out the way He intended them to, it may take a little while. Weather its to teach us a lesson or make us stronger, trust in Him. I have learned just to drop my own plans and run with His. Take it from me it is so worth it. The path he has made, may have a few bumps but the rewards at the end are much greater along His trail then yours.
Prayer: Hey God, Its me. Today I put all my trust in you. I lay every dream and every plan I have at your feet. Do with them as You please, for I know you know what is best for me. I want to drop my plans for Yours. I want to walk along the path you paved for me. In Jesus name, Amen
