Trump's First 100 Days

Considering the recent passing of President Donald J. Trump’s 100 days in office, I havereview the office of the secretary’s recent statement released. Upon reading, I have taken in that contrary to what the media portrays, Trump is doing better than some of us might want to believe.

Open your eyes and your mind, and take a look at what has been done:

President Trump has taken action to get far more done in his first 100 days than any other President since Franklin Roosevelt.

President Trump will have signed thirty executive orders during his first 100 days. This can be compared to Obama, who signed nineteen executive orders during his first 100 days, or Bush who signed eleven.

President Trump has actually done more than any other president has in terms of stopping the government from interfering in the lives of American’s in his first 100 days.

He has officially signed 13 Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions. This is significantly more than any other president. What did these resolutions do? They worked to nullify unnecessary regulations as well as preventing agencies from reissuing them.

The Wall Street Journalnotes the Trump Administration’s efforts so far as “a welcome improvement, rolling back more regulations than any President in history”

President Trump has paired with Congress to accomplish passing more legislation during his first 100 days than any other noted President since Truman.

Trump has worked in the past 100 days to enact twenty-eight laws. Again, you can compare this to Obama who passed eleven or Bush or passed seven.

Regardless of your political stance, constantly seeking faults in our nation’s leader is not benefitting anyone, and neither is wishing for his failure. Having a more positive outlook and a better attitude can go a long way in our overall happiness.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
