You have heard that it was said, you have to have a 4.0 GPA to be successful, but truly truly I say to you — God will not judge us on judgement day by a number on our transcript, but rather by our hearts.
You have heard that it was said, that you have to be in a relationship and be in love to be happy, but truly truly I say to you — you can find true joy from the Lord during any season of life.
You have heard that its was said, only love those who think like you do and hate the ones who don’t, but truly truly I say to you — hate the sin and love the sinner. (Matthew 5:43-45)
You have heard that it was said, you are not good enough, but truly truly I say to you — you are obviously enough for Jesus to go through the pain and agony He endured on the cross; He did that for YOU.
You have heard that it was said, if you love your boyfriend/girlfriend, you will do things with him/her that God reserved only for marriage, but truly truly I say to you — that is something that can only be given away once; the wait will be totally worth it.
You have heard that it was said obey your parents, but truly truly I say to you — don’t just respect them but love them and cherish them because they brought you into this beautiful world and have given up everything for you to have what you need to thrive in this life.
You have heard that it was said God is not really listening to you, but truly truly I say to you — God wants to hear from you! He loves you and wants you to spend time talking to Him.
You have heard that it was said that God does not have a plan specifically for you, but truly truly I say to you — God has a will for you to do something awesome for His Kingdom, and where the Lord has Will, there is a way. If you stick with Him and follow His Word, the story He is writing for your life will be more beautiful than anything you could have ever dreamed of.
The world tells us to be everything that we’re not but our God teaches us something totally different. Listen to His Word. Listen to His plan. His way is better than any way we could ever imagine.
