Eggloo is an ice cream shop in located at 60 Mulberry Street in Chinatown in New York City. It serves Hong Kong style waffles with ice cream and unlimited toppings!
You have probably seen pictures of people with their Eggloo on your Instagram feeds which is totally understandable since it is a very attractive looking ice cream treat. This little shop in Chinatown has SO much hype behind it and in my opinion is very well worth it.
For only $8 you can get either an Eggloo Cone or an Eggloo Sundae. The difference between the two is that in the Sundae you get it in a plastic cup with a cereal base while the cone is in a paper cone. With that, you get your choice of an ice cream flavor whether it be vanilla, chocolate, green tea, strawberry, or a special seasonal flavor. After that you get to pick your waffle flavor they have a mix of sweet flavors like vanilla and chocolate and they also have savory flavors like pizza.
Once you cover all those bases comes the fun part the toppings! There are probably about 20 or so different toppings to choose from some of which include: pocki sticks, whipped cream, sprinkles, frosted flakes, chocolate syrup, fruity pebbles, mocha, and so on.
This place is such a big draw for tourists and locals, there was never a moment while waiting in the tiny shop that it wasn’t completely packed! With that being said it did not take long at all between me ordering and receiving my ice cream.
Even though the inside is small, right across the street is a cute little park with a lot of benches, which is a perfect place to take the Instagram picture we all will inevitably take.
Whether you are going to Eggloo because you are an ice cream enthusiast or because you are dying for an aesthetically pleasing Instagram picture I would HIGHLY recommend you check this place out, you will thank me later!
I know I definitely will be making the trip back to Chinatown for another one myself!
